"You want a REAL hip coffee shop? This is it. No frills, no bs. Best cold brew of all time EVER. SERIOUSLY. It takes like melted chocolate ice cream. The canned stuff they sell is the same and its fantastic. Lattes and Matcha are on point too. Baristas are actual people and are hilarious and so good at what they do. Hands down my favorite coffee shop of all time. Truly the gem of the Heights with Riverview Park just across the street."

"The woman who works here, I believe her name is Maggie, is incredibly rude. She gave me a ton of attitude and all I did was order an Iced coffee and ask for a straw. After me two gentleman from the neighborhood ordered. She told the first one (presumably a regular since she knew his order) that Sundays made her feel "particularly hateful." She told the second (who I believe works at the salon) that today is busy and "horrible, but not crazy horrible. Just medium horrible." I'd hate to see her on a "crazy horrible" day. But seriously, if you're that rude and hateful, why not work the espresso station, so you hardly interact with guests? Or better yet, why work on customer service at all? What a poor representation of a business. And to make matters worse, the specialty drinks are so sweet that it's almost comical. It's like the barista never wants to make the drinks again so purposefully ruins them. Skip this location if you can, cause they clearly do not care about product or experience."

"Really enjoyed the service and the appearance was warm and inviting. There are a lot of combinations and ways to enjoy your Java. Great amount of merchandise, from ground beans to shirts and totes. The outdoor bench and table is very relaxing and a great way enjoy the surroundings or catch up on a book. directly across from the Riverview Park w amazing views of Manhattan."

"Love this coffee shop! They serve some of the best coffee in Jersey City. It's small, usually with one or two staff members, so it's not great if you're in a hurry, but the staff is friendly. There’s no indoor seating for lounging, but there are a few outdoor tables. It's perfect for picking up coffee and enjoying it in the park, not for working."

"Came here while visiting from out of state. Modcup came highly recommended from multiple people and it did not disappoint. The Kyoto ice drip was the best cold coffee I have ever had. We came here 4 times during our short visit to try other stuff since it was so good. I had the Kyoto ice drip, a regular hot black, og cold brew, and an iced black exotic. Stoked they have a website to order beans from. Can’t wait to order some Da Funk and Sunburst beans. Now I also have to get an ice drip tower in my arsenal."
