Art installations on the main wall are always nice to look over while enjoying some writing and chatting inside. Dog treats at the door as well! "I would go back for the chocolate blackout donut alone, but the dirty chai latte and chocolate loaf are also worth a second visit. Perfect spot for a rainy Saturday morning to warm up from the inside out before venturing back out to take on the rest of your weekend. "We’ve been going to Local since it first opened. It was about the third coffee shop in Montclair at that time. Now, I can’t keep track of them all. Even after a change of ownership, I would still put their coffees (and baristas) up against any others in town. Both the service and the quality are terrific. As it’s continued to get more popular, the noise levels and ability to grab a seat have decreased, which is why I marked them down on atmosphere. The shop is always clean and they’ve got revolving art exhibits, but it’s gotten noisy and crowded."

"Cozy coffee shop off Watchung in Montclair. I've been going here for years and am always treated with great service and great drinks. The owners are such nice folks, too. Not to mention, the doughnuts they source are incredible. No, really, you have to get one if you visit. Dog friendly, ever-changing wall art by local talent, indoor seating, and public wifi."
