What People Are Saying
from Google"Authentic Pakistani Soul Food - A 5-Star Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Chai Chenak with my cousins and was absolutely blown away by the authenticity! 🇵🇰 If you are looking to experience the "true colors of Pakistan," this is the spot. 🎨✨ What we loved: 🍽️ Chikkad Chanay: Thick, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. A must-try! 🥘 Breads: The Naans and Parathas were served fresh, hot, and flaky. 🫓🔥 Bun Kabaabs: These tasted exactly like the legendary street food in Karachi! 🍔🧅 Mayo Garlic Rolls: Super creamy and delicious. 🌯🤤 Drinks & Dessert: The Mint Margaritas were so refreshing 🍹, and the Falooda was the perfect sweet ending to our feast! 🍨🍧 Karak Chai: You can't leave without a cup of their soul-warming tea. ☕ The Atmosphere: 📸 The decor is stunning! The walls are adorned with cultural art and photos representing different Pakistani cities. 🏙️ Listening to the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in the background created such a cozy, nostalgic vibe. It felt like dining in a top-tier restaurant in Pakistan! 🎶🙌 Logistics: 📋 Service: Fast, friendly, and very attentive staff. ⚡🤝 Value: Surprisingly economical! Great portion sizes for the price. 💰✅ Parking: Take note—parking in New Brunswick can be tricky. 🚗 You’ll likely need to use a paid garage or street parking and walk about 700 feet to the entrance, but trust me, the food is worth every step! 👟📍 Final Verdict: 5/5! Try it to believe it. I had a blast! 🎊"
"I’ve been here a lot over a year or two. I’ve tried a wide variety across the menu, and the drinks are okay. They’re all overly sweet. It would be nice if the sugar levels were halved, or at the very least a customizable amount in the self kiosk. Once or twice the base coffee taste was a little off. Tried kashmiri chai once and wasn’t very good. However, I have tried a couple of the parathas and they are great! I’m yet to try the restaurant they have next door but have high expectations. Very good interior in the cafe, lots of seating, great for studying or hanging out. Staff has always been nice. I’ll very likely stop by again, and can still say I recommend giving this place a shot!"
"One the best Pakistani restaurant in the area. If you are in the area and want to try some authentic South Asian cuisine with the traditional atmosphere, this is the place to be. Tried halwa Puri platter and butter chicken with garlic naan."
"I’m so glad I tried this place! The interior is super cute with couches and tables/chairs which were cozy and they were also playing lofi music and they also have wifi! The worker was very nice and helpful and let me know that I could look at pics of the food on the touchscreen. I ordered a turkey sandwich and the salted caramel cream latte and both were so good! The turkey sandwich was filling and had a sauce with a little kick, the fries were well made, and the latte was sweet, I could definitely taste the salted caramel!!"
"Delicious matcha and pastries! A unique atmosphere with eclectic decor and great customer service. Would highly recommend supporting this small business if you’re in New Brunswick :) And a big plus - the food is halal!"
