What People Are Saying
from Google"I’ve been wanting to come here for some time as their instagram makes their drinks look so pretty. The sign outside states that you can get 10% off if you show a parking receipt, but we were informed after showing her ours, that the discount is for Rutgers students. We ordered two specialty lattes to stay—the harazi and the saffron, along with a spinach borek. We found seats to stay, and waited for quite a while, while our food and drinks were being prepared. When they finally came out, I was disappointed. The borek was on a plate, but the drinks were in disposable cups. The cups are quite pretty, but still. My saffron latte was supposed to have both saffron and harazi spices, but it just tasted like warm milk. Though there were pieces of saffron in it. Trying my partner’s coffee, the haraz latte, it tasted of the spice—cinnamon, cardamom, etc., but it was much too cold. I heard another patron also remarking that her hot latte was cold. While waiting for our drinks, I noticed that one of the employees preparing a matcha drink, wasn’t exactly hygienic with her coughing. Maybe the staff needs to be trained better on their techniques, because it’s too much to be paying $24 for coffees and a pastry that are subpar."
"This spot is ideal for enjoying a cup of coffee or chai and engaging in great conversation. The decor beautifully combines traditional Yemeni elements with the vibrant flair of modern coffee shop design. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and upscale—creating a perfect "third space" for socializing or working. Soft lighting highlights the cultural touches, making it both inviting and inspiring. It's an excellent place for students and remote workers to focus, unwind, or connect with friends. With a variety of seating options, it accommodates everything from quiet study sessions to larger group meetups. I tried the Mango Matcha latte, Pistachio latte, along with the Rasmalai milk cake. All of it was indulgently delicious, with just the right balance of sweetness and flavor. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!"
"I’ve been to Haraz a handful of times and it’s always been a great experience! The drinks are on the better side for all the cafes in the area; never too sweet, don’t have an off-taste in the base coffee, good sizing, nice looking cups, only gripe would be they sometimes have a lot of ice. I’ve gotten seasonal drinks as well as the standard menu. In my photo is the white mocha latte and pumpkin matcha, both were very good, would get again! I’ve come here multiple times to study and the atmosphere is excellent for this, almost everyone here is doing some kind of work so you feel right in place. The interior is modern and visually appealing. There’s plenty of seating, yet it’s typically quite busy so you have to take whatever is open. The staff interactions are relatively short if you order via the self kiosk - from my limited interactions, the staff has always been excellent and very kind. I can highly recommend giving Haraz a try!"
"The mango matcha just had a little syrup on the bottom and it tasted weird. I was better off not mixing and just drinking the matcha. The strawberry matcha had a lot of syrup and it would not mix at all because of how thick it was but it tasted a lot better than the mango. I would recommend the strawberry over it. Pricing is way too high for the size of the cup. The only reason I gave it a 3 stars was because of the seating and the decoration in the place is beautiful. The music is also great. Semicolon cafe and khyber cafe are a lot better and near the area"
"This is a perfect spot for a coffee/chai and conversation with beautiful decor featuring a blend of traditional Yemeni culture and modern vibrant coffee shop trends. The ambiance is inviting, cozy, and upscale, providing a comfortable "third space" for socializing and working, with warm lighting complementing the cultural details. A perfect place for students and remote workers to work, relax or gather with friends with plenty of seating options for intimate gatherings or larger group meetings. Tried their Adeni Chai with Rasmalai and Rose Milk Cake. The rich, creamy and fragrant Adeni kadak chai was very refreshing and satisfying. While the Rasmalai Milk Cake and Rose Milk Cake was simply scrumptiously delicious. Will definitely go again to try other items on their menu."
