"This place was recommended by many foodies as a must stop while in Princeton. The food item of choice was the cheesesteak. But before I can get to the cheesesteak, I have to share the overall sub sandwich experience. As a place that had been a staple in Princeton for 50 years, you would expect to have some type of an old school experience that would lend this place to be a destination. Parking? Forget about it, there are a few metered spots that you have to be extremely lucky to get one. Plan on driving around a while. Once you do find a spot, do not forget you wallet because that is the next obstacle..No Cash is accepted for your order that must be placed on the Kios. No greeting welcoming you to the famous Hoagir Haven. Just a sign saying No Cash Accepted and order here. Nobody to talk about what they recommended? What is popular? What you can get on your sandwich? Extras. Just a Kios that is no different than ordering from your local Wawa. I wanted my cheesestreak with ketchup and pickles, this was not part of the options. If it was, didn't have time for a long search with the line behind me. So I received a plain cheesesteak, which was good based on the solid foundation of the bread. What a major disappointment. Then you get the tip prompt for placing your own order.. Will never get that one. Of course a cash tip is accepted, as I walked out with my order that had no Napkins in the bag. Was not a good Haven experience at all amd sadly I would not go back. This is why you can never believe every review. Sorry Hoagie Haven, not a good day for me there."

"Danggggg. That jawn was massive. Creative sandwiches. Delicious flavors. Definitely a must stop by when in Princeton. At first, we were kind of pissed that 2 14inch sandwiches was $45, and then we received them and we were very happy. We had enough for lunch and dinner and it was delishhhhh. Not much places to sit but we walked down the street to Ivy Inn and sat at their outdoor picnic tables to have our hoagies."

"The workers are very receptive and respectful. No long wait. Usually they tell you the order will be ready in 15 minutes but mostly comes out earlier than expected. Their souvlakis are the best!"

"This place definitely met the high expectations I went in with. I got their most popular whole hoagie (the Sanchez) for a total of $18 with tax. It came with mozzarella sticks, fries, chicken cutlet pieces, and their "Sanchez" sauce. It was humongous and was extremely filling and delicious. Every bite was so good! My friend got their cheesesteak and it was also amazing. I am definitely coming back to this Nassau Street staple."

"Hoagie Haven was recommended to us by someone who grew up in the Princeton area. We went on a Saturday early evening around 5pm. We walked in and used the touch screen to order, as directed by the staff once we shared we were paying with a card. The staff was busy filling orders, and they were friendly to interact with. This is a carry out establishment, so ambiance is sort of a silly rating, but it was a pleasant place to stand inside and wait for your food. They have a variety of hot subs, cold subs, and specials. We ordered 3 6-inch subs. The portions were very generous! Fries were fine and onion rings were tasty. We liked the cheese steak and chicken cheese steak, just be wanted they are made with long, flat, thin strips of meat rather than shredded thin pieces like a traditional cheese steak. Still delicious!"
