"Went for restaurant week. A lot of the things we were looking forward to trying were out. They switched the salad for a caprese which was fantastic. The other app we got were the meatballs which were good but slightly salty. For mains we got the short rib risotto, which was incrediblyyyyyyy salty, and the pasta bolognese, which was supposed to be papardelle but they ran out and we did bucatini instead, it was good but not amazing. They were out of vanilla gelato and the olive oil cake but kindly offered us different gelato options that weren’t originally on the menu. Service was great, ambiance is great, very classy and clean. Music is jazzy. Just sad that a lot of the restaurant week items were sold out (even though we went earlier in the evening, at 6:30), and that a couple of dishes were overly salty."

"Our early Christmas Eve dinner was spectacular. Every option on the prix fixe menu was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We loved the entire experience and can’t wait to return to try the regular menu."

"Catezza — Red Bank, NJ (Visited for dinner, Nov 1 2025) We landed at Catezza purely by chance — Birravino had a 2–3 hour wait, so we wandered in next door. Turned out to be a happy accident! The vibe here is upscale retro — think a classy 1960s club with two bars, marble tables, cozy chairs, and a low-lit, warm energy that just feels right. You can tell they’ve put thought into the décor — it’s stylish without trying too hard. Our server Keri was an absolute gem — friendly, sharp, and a fantastic mixologist. Her Old Fashioned was perfection: smoky, bourbon-forward, and not sugary (a rare thing these days). The Mojito was also on point — minty, crisp, and fresh instead of syrupy sweet. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on the drinks alone! The menu is very limited — not much to choose from. We started with the bread basket (nothing complimentary here), served with lemon oil and whipped ricotta — interesting combo, though the bread didn’t taste freshly baked. The Caprese was unique — no tomatoes, just cucumber, pepper, and creamy burrata. Oddly enough, it worked! For mains, we tried the spicy tomato sea bass — fish was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. But spicy? Nope! More like –1 on a 5-point scale 🌶️😄. Still, the tomato broth was tasty — make sure to ask for a spoon so you can enjoy the sauce properly. I’d rate cooking a 4/5, but plating only a 2/5 — presentation felt more “local pizzeria” than fine dining. Dessert was a mixed bag. The olive oil cake with fig jam had a great concept but wasn’t fresh; the fig jam was delicious though. The tiramisu gelato was average — honestly, better gelato is just a short drive away in Freehold. Overall, Catezza is a lovely spot for cocktails, conversation, and ambiance — not a culinary masterpiece, but worth visiting for the vibe and that unbeatable Old Fashioned."

"My wife and I stumbled upon this place completely by chance—it was our first time visiting, and we honestly had no expectations walking in. But wow, were we pleasantly surprised! From the moment we entered, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The décor is beautiful—elegant but cozy, with thoughtful touches that make the space feel both stylish and comfortable. The service was top-notch. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great suggestions without being pushy. Every dish we ordered was fresh and full of flavor, but the pasta truly stood out. It was perfectly cooked and had that rich! All in all, this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great atmosphere, amazing service, and food that genuinely impressed us. We’re already planning to come back—and next time, we’re trying more pasta dishes!"

"Came here for a rare date night with my husband. Everything was incredible. The Calabrian tuna over risotto and gabagool crostini were the perfect appetizers. Then we shared a swordfish and a stuffed chicken parm Entree. We had warm chocolate chip cookies with mascarpone whipped cream to finish our meal. Michael, our server, was incredible. He was so personable, gave us top notch suggestions, and even better service. Top notch meal and experience."
