"I am visiting Trenton from up central Jersey. Decided to stop at this place and order the fish and grits which came with eggs and toast. I think that’s the best fish and grits platter I’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly seasoned. And the portion size was huge for a very adorable price. The cook/owner was very pleasant as well. I’m traveling to Trenton for 7 days and will definitely be stopping here again before my time ends here! I’m more than happy to support this man’s small business and will visit again if I’m ever in the area in the future."

"I found way way here based on enthusiastic reviews, and I have to say that they didn't steer me wrong in the least. I ordered Oxtail with yams and cornbread, and it was all out of this world, especially the oxtail and rice! As I sit here in food bliss, I've still got a mess of rice and half the yams left, and even though I'm completely full, I can't stop eating. It's THAT good. I'll absolutely be back to try more! "Tried the chicken, mac and cheese, yams, cabbage, potato salad. For a soul food spot, I was rather disappointed as I think my own cooking of these foods is much better and I'm not a professional in any way. The chicken was barely seasoned, the mac was less than average and the potato salad was terrible. The yams and cabbage were pretty good. I'm not a harsh food critic but this was just terrible all around. The customer service was perfect though but of course, I can't eat customer service so that was the only saving grace."
