from Google & Yelp"If Utica Ave ever needed proof that miracles taste better with elbow room, Almah Café has delivered. This location is warmer, more spacious than their Albany sibling, and the menu feels like it’s bursting at the seams with options. This time I went for their so‑called Jerusalem bagel, which, spoiler alert, is not a bagel at all. What arrived was a golden, airy pastry topped with egg and pesto, and it was absolutely delicious. From there, I grazed happily: rugelach that should put store‑bought cookies out of business, a mushroom pastry that was savory and satisfying, a mini pizza pastry that hit all the right notes of comfort food, and a stunning almond pastry that was rich, nutty, and perfectly balanced. To tie it all together, a mocha that was strong yet smooth, like the café itself, which somehow manages to be kosher, chic, and welcoming without trying too hard. And next time, I’m definitely coming back for their Jaffa breakfast. Just like in Israel, it’s the full “everything breakfast”: two eggs cooked your way, fresh house salad, warm bread, and a spread of Mediterranean dips and cheeses. It’s the kind of meal that makes you want to linger, and I can’t wait to try it. Between the expanded breakfast menu, the classics like khachapuri and pavlovas, and these playful pastry riffs, Almah Café on Utica Ave feels like a United Nations of baked goods. My vote this round goes to the Jerusalem bagel, almond pastry, and mushroom pastry, but breakfast is calling my name."
"Good vibe for a coffee shop. Enough space to spread out and do work in a productive manner. The food it good and authentic. I had some of the pastries and they were way better than expected. Great quality and price. The salads are good. They have a few options but you can't make your own salad if you are wondering. Service was good, they answered questions and helped out to make decisions. Friendly and kind without being pushy. Overall good experience."

"I would rate 100 stars if I could. Drove 40 minutes in traffic for the MOST AMAZING tasting food! Bought almost EVERYTHING they had available 🤭 and it tastes EXACTLY like the ones I’ve been dreaming of from Isreal. Would definitely recommend!! A MUST TRY."
