"I stopped in to order a matcha, and when I placed my order, the barista at the register asked for my name. I assumed it would be used to call out my order, as I noticed other customers’ names were being called. When my drink was ready, I didn’t hear my name, but I did hear the barista repeatedly saying “Daydream” while looking in my direction. Since that’s the drink I ordered, I eventually went to the counter and confirmed it was mine. When I mentioned that I thought my name would be called, the barista gave me an unwelcoming look. The interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable, especially with other customers watching. While the drink itself was good, the experience left me feeling discouraged by the lack of courtesy and professionalism."
