FirstLive books a range of performers, but their mission to elevate those artists who are on their way up invites real community. You'll likely get a chance to personally thank the musicians and mix with others artists if that's your thing. If that isn't, just a good vibe all around regardless. Easy to talk to strangers at a place like this and make a meaningful connection. If you're going into the soundroom to watch the performances up close, don't forget your earplugs! "Came here for one of the jam nights that was hyped as this amazing community thing, but it felt more like a private clubhouse. Drinks are priced like a fancy cocktail bar, but the place is hot, cramped, and has only one bathroom. Staff looked bored, bartenders were on their phones, and when you finally order, you’re met with attitude. The management seems more concerned with looking important than creating a welcoming atmosphere. It’s ambitious on the surface, but in practice it feels unorganized and out of touch. You can tell the people running it want it to be legendary, but it just comes across as awkward and self-indulgent. Never again."

"Amazing venue in Brooklyn, the staff are great, stage equipment and audio. Visual tech is state of the art. Very cool concept of being a music venue that streams and has live shows."
