"I had high hopes for Place des Fêtes but I was pretty disappointed, especially for all the high reviews it received. For the price they’re charging here, you either have to increase the portion size or really knock the customers socks off. Some of the dishes were comically small, I get this is tapas but come on. My favorite dish was the sardine toast but that’s the only thing that was good. The pasta tasted like something you’d make at home and the cod was lukewarm, not appealing at all. The freshness of the ingredients was spot on, you can definitely taste the quality but it’s the actual delivery that flopped. I do have to shout out to our waiter who was great and offered some solid suggestions. There are some great restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in this area but PDF is not one of them."

"The sardines toast was definitely the highlight for me! But the maitako mushroom with black garlic sauce & corn with eel bonito were delightful. Super cute place inside, very cozy and nice bar seating area. All the staffs were super helpful, attentive and sweet. Perfect date spot, light not too dim, portions are on the smaller end and pretty vibey."

The servers were incredibly knowledgeable and gracious, adding to an ambiance that is cozy, cool, and perfectly intimate. We had a table in the back for nine people and truly felt like we were in someone’s home because of the warmth and level of hospitality. Zaneta took care of us from start to finish and made the entire experience seamless and special. We will be back many more times. Highly recommend."

The food was beautiful and I cannot recommend this place enough. Big shoutout to their General Manager John, who took hospitality to the next level and booked us a table at a bar next door so we had somewhere for an after dinner drink.
