"When I tell you I lost to my breath when I had my first sip of The Poética. This is not a coffee. This is art in a cup. Made with so much love and intention to be enjoyed in a warm, cozy and welcoming ambiance. Scene: Gloomy sky, brisk weather, low lighting, soft jazzy music, light chatter and sincere laughter form the customers in the back. Clean, organized, meticulous. Even the trash bin has its own essence! The barista: The barista was so kind. Her genuine care and passion was demonstrated when another customer walked in and I invited him to order before me as I made up my mind; She said with a smile, “I already know what he gets.” — That is customer service, costumer retention, and the most excellent example of loyalty, that will naturally draw people back for more, perpetually. Because it’s not a coffee. It’s an experience. It’s community. It felt like she wants to be here as much as we want to be here. Not as an obligation but as an honor. The coffee: The foam was like the clouds where the angels rest in heaven. The ingredients were harmonious like a string quartet. The raw sugar granules were all dissolved completely, showing intention in the preparation. (I used to be a barista and I know raw sugar takes a while to melt). No coffee grounds in the bottom of my cup show delicacy in the brewing process. I am amazed. And this is just a mundane Saturday afternoon in October. Conclusion: We are experiencing the world all the time. We are always taking in information, and I loved what I felt for the 45 minutes I was here today.
