"I purchased the ARC Roaster 800g (propane connector) about 6 weeks ago. It has been a major step up as I now have the desired control over my roasts. Compared to other new roasters this has been a great entry point into gas drum roasters. It is a bit of money, but much cheaper than other entry level roasters. The airflow and gas control provides the necessary flexibility to get a commercial style roast. This roaster provides the ability pull out the softer floral notes that were challenging to do with just an electric roaster. Additionally, the set up and installation was quite easy. It took very little time to unpack and get set up. The controls are also easy to navigate, however, the airflow is quite sensitive and powerful. One item that I would change is the location of the controls. It would be nice to have controls on closer to the front of the roaster. This hasn't been an issue, but just a preference. I would definitely recommend this roaster for someone looking to purchase a roaster and not wanting to spend the price for a Diedrich, Probat or San Franciscan roaster. The roasts have been awesome and I look forward to many more of them!"
