What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"--Friendly and accommodating staff - easy to make a reservation via phone call thanks to the helpful staff, the snow on the day of our reservation led to a number of cancellations in our party and the staff were really flexible and understanding when we came in much smaller than anticipated. --The cocoa and lattes we ordered were delicious and warrant a return trip for round two this season. --The games are fun, but not new so some are missing pieces and playing instructions/rules, but in the age of Google we got the gist and with a little imaginative adaptation we had a great time. --We enjoyed the cozy, playing around the kitchen table vibe they've got going on --There's a rewards program as well so I joined because I will definitely be back!"

"As far as Game Cafes go, this has a lot going for it. The table sizes are good, the selection, though not the biggest, is varied. You can play everything from casual party games, to mass market classics, to modern euros, historical war games and 18xx! I’m far from an expert on Bubble tea, but the passion fruit tea I got was refreshing and good. $8 sit and play fee for 3h of $15 for all day seems pretty standard, though I still wish more places implemented a food/drink minimum to waive these fees."

"I love this place. I always stop by for a drink. My favorite is the grilled cheese sandwich but they have variety of drinks and a few food items. The grilled cheese has abundant amount of cheese not your average grilled cheese. It is very filling and done fresh on the spot. I get a drip coffee with almond milk to go along with it. Sometimes the tables in the back are very crowded with people playing the vintage board games that you can play for a small fee. Overall it's a great cozy and super fun place to get a small bite and drink plus play boardgames."

"If you are looking to get kicked out walk in to this this coffee shop. There are nicer and more chic coffee spots where to sit down little bit but i walked in because it was next to the store where i shop and obviously this is common and not addressed because others are complaining about the same thing, i bought coffee he didn't mention that i couldn't sit and he brought me coffee to the table and did not mention that was reserved, after 2 minutes 2 walked in he asked me to change table and all tables are full , i asked him where do i sit because i bought coffee to sit for little bit he said i don't know go to the front if you want to wasn't even pleasant to sit just i was tired i wanted to relax for 5 minutes, no air inside and smells like fried fish also while i was paying for coffee a girl walked in and sat in the front he was hatefully starring at her i didn't understand but now i know not sure what the concept but avoid this spot if you are not teenager playing games and don't care about service. i see that you are replying to everyone but not addressing the issue with your employees so no need to answer take the time to train you staff. Replying to your answer: There is nothing wrong with you prioritizing or honoring whoever you want in your coffee shop but for me as a customer i need that to be clear and communicated to me before making the purchase like a sign maybe outside as someone that have no idea what the concept of the coffee just seeing many tables and thinking to buy a runny latte for $8 only relax for 5 min and then being asked out by one of your employees over my head and 2 waiting on the side for me to move like i was squatting all day is not good. many customers are complaining in the reviews about the situation being kicked out not knowing why and by you not doing anything about it like adding a sign maybe to be clear for customers that are not there to paly games and that tables are reserved and prioritized for games feels like you are SCAMMING people that are buying food or drink only to sit and relax for little bit."

"Nice cozy little spot with a lot of character and good service. They are absolutely loaded with board games of all kinds so it’s a nice little spot for locals to come together, chill, and play some games. I had good coffee and strangely good popcorn chicken. As you can see from the photo, the presentation of the chicken wasn’t much but don’t let the picture fool you it was actually pretty damn flavorful and affordable. I would order it again… Side note, the bathroom was also modern and clean which is always a much welcome benefit in a NYC establishment."

"I needed a place with WiFi to take a Zoom call before an IRL meeting in this neighborhood. Squarrel fit the bill and did the job! I love board games and..."
