What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"When for Saturday brunch. Had chicken and waffles. I enjoyed it. The breading was mustard but the mustard flavor was very mild so it was ok. The chicken was moist and tender. The bananas and berries were plenty. The waffle was light but had good density with a course texture that absorbed syrup well. Wait staff was great, super friendly and prompt. Place was cute but small and a little cramped. Patons were all friendly and curious so cramped was not a problem."
"Okay the food was very tasty. I ordered pancakes, fried chicken breast and cheese grits. Everything was wonderful including this spicy sauce served on the side of the chicken. I washed it down with herbal mint tea with some honey and oatmilk. The place was cozy and inviting. It felt like old Bedstuy in the 90's. I loved all the decor and I also had laptop to work and they have outlets at every table. Unfortunately it was freezing in there. And I'm always hot. Like I drink everything on ice daily. I ordered the tea because of the weather. I almost put my coat back on."
"Before anything. They should mention having other ingredients in things that don’t normally have them. My wife has a severe allergy to nuts and they use Nutella in the hot chocolate. When I tasted hers and we told the waitress/bartender. She didn’t evenapologize. She said oh “I’ll take that. But all chocolate has some nuts in it.” Didn’t make any sense to say that as opposed to just “I’m sorry”. The other waitress was very apologetic and made sure to even clean the steam wand when making her a new drink to prevent cross contamination, Then took the drinks off the tab. The food was okay. Pancakes were a bit over cooked but still good. My wife’s French toast was very hard toward one end and My coffee was decent. It was also cold in there. But the music great and vibe was friendly. Personally, we will not go back. But anyone else may have a great experience. I just have a long list of places before I suggest this establishment."
"I'm visiting from Philly (I lived here for 15 yrs but scooted south recently) and am staying in Bed Stuy and came in here for brunch this morning. The food is outrageously good actually, and really big portions. The waitress was one of those people who is just a walking good vibes dispenser, like super super nice. It's like a neighborhood cafe type place but was consistently busy in the 90 min or so I was in there, but not hectic. It was a great way to spend a morning."
"Met a friend here for lunch recently. This is an excellent cafe in the middle of Bed Stuy. The food is plentiful. Menu is atraight forward and delicious. Great value for the amount that they serve you. Many options to choose from (soup, salads, sandwiches, etc)."
"Osheen was our waitress today. She was so accommodating. We weren't sure of the size of our group because of the rain. We went from a party of 3 to a party..."
