"I have been frequenting the Kookaburra Malverne location on and off for several years. The only downside is they close a bit early for my schedule and they only take cash. Other than that, this location is full of phenomenal humans. The customer service is unparalleled. Every single time that I can remember there that’s been a superb interaction with the baristas and the clientele. Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness. When our PTSA requested a donation for our Supermarket Bingo they didn’t hesitate for a second. 🙏🏽 I highly recommend the Malverne Kookaburra Coffee Company."

"Saw many really good reviews so I was excited to check this place out. I was very disappointed by the coffee, the prices (higher than Starbucks!!) and the service. After waiting in a long, very s l o w line my "barista" decided to answer a text on her phone instead of working on my drink, not cool. If the coffee had been good I might have gotten past the wait, the prices and the rudeness but it was not."

"I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and a iced latte with a bit of vanilla. The coffee was super good, loved it. The everything bagel was super nice from the thickness and all but just had waaaay too much salt on it, got a sodium shock. Sat there for 5-10 min just peeling off all the salt. But they did put a generous amount of cream cheese on. It was quiet loud in the shop and the staff was mostly very friendly."

"Very nice local coffee place where you can find friends hanging out having coffee, tea & some tasty pastries… They provide Wi-Fi so you can pop in lounge & surf the net.. I’d definitely recommend this place, here are my 2 dislikes; parking can be brutal and the biggest problem is they are a cash only establishment."
