from Google"Randomly walked into ansā while I was looking for a mid-morning caffeine boost, and damn, I found a gem! It's not always easy to find a good espresso in NYC. Chatting with John, I learned about a cool collaboration among friends—combining Costa Rican coffee beans with modern on-site roasting tech. WOW! Great, friendly service, an industrial design, and good old-fashioned hospitality make the rest. 10/10 and see ya soon for my next espresso :)"
"Ansa is an easy four star for me and a place I would gladly come back to. The team at the front could not have been kinder, they were patient with questions, warm in their greeting, and made the whole ordering process feel relaxed instead of rushed. The space feels modern and clean, with a calm energy that works just as well for catching up with a friend as it does for a quiet solo coffee. I ordered a flat white and the Caramelized Banana Tartine. The flat white came in a cool clay cup with silky microfoam and a balanced, smooth espresso shot, no bitterness, just a nice, rounded flavor. The tartine was the star, a slice of hearty oat bread topped with ginger, a layer of natural peanut butter, and caramelized banana on top. The bread had a good chew, the peanut butter felt wholesome rather than sugary, and the caramelized banana added just enough sweetness to make each bite feel special without being heavy. Between the kind staff, thoughtful menu, and solid coffee, Ansa sits comfortably at four stars and is a spot I would happily recommend."
"Wow. This might be the freshest coffee I’ve ever had in my life. They roast the beans from green to cup in just minutes- it’s wild to watch and even better to drink. The ice cream is just as special, made fresh on the spot with an unbelievable texture. The staff really know their coffee, and I love that you can learn while you sip. The space itself is beautifully designed, and the location couldn’t be better- right by a playground. Perfect for grabbing a coffee with my family and then hanging out at the park"
"Such a hidden gem in the Village! I randomly walked into Ansa Café and ended up staying way longer than planned. The smell of freshly roasted coffee hits you the second you walk in — they actually roast the beans right there in front of you. It’s wild to see and even better to taste. My cappuccino was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced — you can tell the beans are roasted fresh, not sitting around for weeks. The staff is super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do, and they’re happy to explain how their roasting system works (which is really cool and eco-friendly). The space itself is clean, bright, and peaceful — great energy, not loud or overcrowded like most NYC cafés. Feels like a mix between a coffee lab and a neighborhood hangout. Definitely a new go-to spot for me."
"One of the best coffee spots I’ve found in NYC. Ansa Café is not your typical coffee shop they actually roast the beans right in front of you using their own micro-roaster, and you can taste the difference. The coffee is incredibly fresh, smooth, and flavorful. The vibe is modern, clean, and chill. You can sit by the window, watch the roasting process, and enjoy the aroma. The baristas are super friendly and really know their stuff they explained the whole concept of how they roast small batches on demand. Prices are fair for the quality, and it’s clear they care about sustainability and doing things differently. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re anywhere near SoHo . Highly recommend!"
