"Great place for a casual meal. The burger was good, fries were crispy. The pizza was good for a place that isn’t a pizza place. Also the staff was very friendly. I was just disappointed they didn’t have the French onion mac and cheese. I rated it a 4 because there wasn’t a standout dish. I would go back for the burger though - only $13 and good portion and tasted great."

"Had a great breakfast with family at Beach Cafe. The pancake is amazing, very close to Golden Diner quality without the 2 hour wait. Eggs were cooked perfectly, coffee was dark and rich, potato pancake crispy and delicious. Definitely worth the visit. We will return for sure!"

"I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. We actually found a piece of broken glass in our chips. Yes—glass. When we flagged it, the servers were unresponsive, and their only “solution” was to offer to make us another batch (as if we’d dare eat more after that). To make matters worse, they still planned to charge us for the bill as if nothing had happened. The service was terrible from the start. The waitress who first greeted us looked like she didn’t want to be there, with an attitude that made us feel unwelcome. The waitstaff overall were inattentive, and when we raised the glass issue, the manager showed no urgency or accountability—almost daring us to keep eating their food. Between the dangerous food safety issue, the dismissive attitude, and the attempt to still charge us after serving glass, this place is a hard never again."

"I treated myself to food and drinks at the Beach Cafe on the UES of Manhattan at about 3:30 in the afternoon on one of the hot days. Perhaps as a reward for finally doing my laundry, still in tow behind me. I went in and sat at the bar . It took a while to get someone’s attention and when I did, I ordered a margarita on the rocks with salt and informed my server I’d like to order some foods TO GO Waiting for my food to arrive I got bored and decided to go wait some more outside under an umbrella. It took so long I got thirsty and went inside to muster up another drink and took it back outside with me. When the food finally arrived I took the bag and went home. Here’s the breakdown $17 Half of French Dip Sandwich with wilted lettuce and tomato mush. $9 side of shoestring fries. Enough fries to fill a dumpster. I’d rather have a side of fries and pay less. 2 margaritas I don’t know what I paid I don’t have the guts to look. ———— THE UPSIDE Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place is charming and unpretentious.
