What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"((4.5 stars)) Bilt Neighborhood Cafe is a small modern cafe with a couple of seats in the front window and several tables & chairs outside. it's very much a grab-n-go spot with food items mostly from Maman bakery. the space is very very small with most of the interior taken up by the coffee counter and food display. there are some decor items, but it's a neatly maintained clean warm space. also while I stopped by in October, the cafe did some collab with Scarpetta and was selling two different strombolis. enjoyed the coffee, here. served super hot and enjoyed the medium roast brew here. the Americano i had here was much needed and a colder afternoon, walking through NoHo. the Maman baked items consist of sweet baked items (croissants, cookies, etc.) as well as savory options like sandwiches and such. the chocolate sandwich cookie was so good. balanced firmness yet soft cookie and a sugary but not overly sweet filling. perfect companion for a black coffee. on a block known for restaurants in NoHo, this is a nice addition for variety. the staff here are friendly and accommodating. one of the baristas was handling like four different orders (it's a one person show). it was impressive bc it was a mix of food and coffee orders, but there was little to no wait. that's skill! don't have a BILT rewards or credit card which may or may not activate benefits, here. but the cafe is being run quite well from coffee to eats and is worth a visit if you are walking across Bond Street as the weather turns a bit chillier"
"Stopped in by chance on a weekend morning. There were just a couple of small tables inside, but luckily it wasn’t busy so I could sit down. I ordered an iced Americano and asked for my almond croissant to be warmed up. I didn’t have any expectations since it was a random visit, but the croissant was honestly amazing-super crisp on the outside and filled with more custard than most places, yet still soft and not soggy at all. I kept being impressed with every bite! The pastry was a bit smaller than other spots, but it was just the right size for me, and the price was reasonable. I left really satisfied and will definitely come back when I’m craving a good croissant! 🥐"
"Was really excited to come here . Because I love my BILT credit card I had high expectations but sadly I arrived & became quite deflated . Neighborhood cafe really doesn’t apply here because it’s incredibly small with no seating for people to hang out & talk with neighbors . The vibe is very bland . If I remember correctly I don’t think it’s accessible to strollers , walkers & wheelchairs either . When I think of neighborhood cafe I think welcoming , socializing , locals warm vibe . Sadly not what you get here . Barista was very friendly so that’s a major plus . It’s great if you just want to grab something & go . Just wanted you to know up front ."
"Went in for the free rent day coffee + pastry. Coffee was fine. The layout of the store makes no sense. People were confused about where to join the line. There was a dj playing loud music where I imagine the pickup area normally is. I appreciate the effort at making it vibey, but you can’t hear the barista call out drink orders over the music. If you do catch it, you then have to shimmy through the line to get back to the other end of the cafe just to be met by a barista who would clearly rather be anywhere else. There are too many good coffee shops in the area to ever return back (even if they’re giving out free drinks)"
"$8 iced latte kind of spot, but no indoor seating, and a brash set of staff. Drip coffee was super watery. Pastries catered from maman. What struck me was how annoyed the lady at the front was- I get it these things are high stress, but we don’t have to inject bad vibes. Just trying to get a latte! It’s a good matcha I’ll give them that. And you get extra credit card points on drinks. Atmosphere and ethos gets a bit o a thumbs down for me, with the coffee not standing out Menu is missing milks. They should clarify that the butterfly pea latte is not coffee - shouldn’t be under the coffee part of the menu. Bring a fresh set of eyes to tackle the details — they matter"
