"Birch Coffee has been my go-to coffee shop for years, and I genuinely can’t imagine my mornings without it. It’s cozy, consistently high-quality, and serves the best coffee—not just in NYC, but hands down the best I’ve ever had. Every day, I order my favorite seasonal drink (right now, the Birch Spiced Latte), and that first sip is truly one of the highlights of my day. As a self-proclaimed coffee snob, I deeply appreciate when baristas really know their craft—and Birch absolutely does. The milk is always perfectly frothed, creating that smooth, creamy top that makes a latte exceptional rather than just good. Beyond the incredible coffee, what truly sets Birch apart is the team. The baristas are some of the kindest, friendliest, and coolest people I’ve ever gotten coffee from. They remember my name, my preferences, and somehow manage to put me in a great mood every single morning as I grab my drink and head into the office. I’m lucky enough to have Birch Coffee near both my home and my office, but the Moynihan location and its crew are my main spot—and they are outstanding. I cannot recommend Birch Coffee enough. It’s more than a coffee shop; it’s a daily joy."

"the servers are kind and efficient! they have a 12 oz flat white option which I thought was unusual when it was offered to me. I got it and the milk:espresso ratio was more like a latte. stick w the 8 oz if you are expecting a flat white. also the oat milk has some kind of sweetness to it (a hint of vanilla maybe?) so avoid it if you’re not seeking sweetness in your coffee. i don’t feel like i can fairly tell what the espresso was like in the oatmilk bev I got but I likely won’t be back to try until i have a few other trips through penn and I try the other spots. if you’re a dairy eating person this spot is probably just fine!"
