"I had planned to go to a different shop for my quest to find the best matcha, but after passing 5 people holding Blank Street matcha in the span of 10 minutes, I decided I ought to give it a try. Relatively cheaper than most NY options at around $6, this promised to be a better value buy. Unfortunately, it tasted both bitter and bland, and a little grainy. Quality matcha should not taste like grass. If you're looking for adequate matcha at a reasonable price, stick to Starbucks. No seating in this location."

"I asked for extra blueberry syrup and they said they can’t do that. I would’ve gladly paid extra for it. Have never had this issue with any other blank street location. They also put barely any blueberry syrup in my matcha - see picture below."

"So the quality of the coffee is actually pretty good but the “rules” of these employees coupled with their severe attitude problems is intolerable. Also the matcha is not good at all. I went to two of these and for one thing they will not mix skim and whole milk. They also will not give you a cortado in a plastic cup (which mind you when I asked for a latte with less milk the counter person suggested I get). The girl told me she was not permitted to give me a plastic cup for a cortado. It was honestly the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard. And then rolled her eyes at me for asking and turned her back to me. How on earth are you in customer facing jobs? I worked in NYC service for over a decade and can’t even imagine how these people are employable. Bad service. Bad matcha. Solid espresso quality. C-"

"Literally just milk. Asked for a hint more matcha (it comes in a squeeze bottle) and she said no that this is how it's made... just do yourself a favor and don't"
