What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"We enjoyed a rather luxurious meal at Boucherie; the service was quick and friendly and the quality of food was great. We visited this restaurant for our first night in NYC as I heard they went all out with Christmas decorations and that the atmosphere would be unmatched. Upon entering the restaurant, we were met with an incredibly bustling environment with not a single empty seat. The Christmas decorations were lovely and the space was packed with holiday spirit. I feel like the tables could not have been more close together; they were really making use of all of the available floor space they had. We were seated at a nice table on the second floor, which was not the most spacious, however still nice. Some of the seats at the 4-person table overlooked the ground floor and provided such a beautiful view. Onto the food, our waitress was very helpful and assured me that they could get me something different if I didn't like what I was served. I ordered the confit de canard and my two friends ordered the steak frites. Although pricey for sure, the steak frites lived up to our expectations, as it was delicious and cooked to our liking. The duck leg, however, was a little disappointing as a lot of the meat was dry, as if it was left in the oven for too long. Consequently, it was hard to bite and felt dry. I don't think it was worth the $44USD. Finally, we were quite appalled by the price of one glass of coke --- my friend ordered a glass and got a refill because the glass was mostly filled with ice, and it ultimately ran us up $18!!!! That was pretty insane but I guess it's a fancier restaurant, so we should be more cautious next time. All in all, we had an enjoyable experience dining at Boucherie and it lived up to our expectations. If you're willing to spend a pretty penny for decent food and a wonderful atmosphere, definitely check it out!"
"We had a great dinner at Boucherie and really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, perfect for a nice evening in New York. Our server, Ash, took great care of us the whole time, super kind, helpful, and very professional. The food was amazing from start to finish. We ordered the steak with fries, the steak tartare, and some desserts, and everything was delicious and very well prepared. The crème brûlée and the chocolate dessert were outstanding. It was a wonderful dinner and we definitely recommend Boucherie to anyone visiting NYC or looking for a great French restaurant. We’d be happy to come back next time we’re in the city."
"Call me a fan of Boucherie. I’ve been to other locations (Union Sq - PAS) and the huge atrium on 53rd. Adding West Village to the list. The space is cozy, nicely decorated for the holidays, and very Paris... like tables so closed together, you're touching each other’s elbows. Came for brunch with my son, treated him to yummy foie gras and *gasp* - he didn't like it.. LOL had to enjoy that whole liver mousse myself! Over indulgence for sure (oh my cholesterol!). We ordered the Wagyu carpaccio and it was fantastic! He loved it. For main, he got the mushroom ravioli (fragrant truffle & mushrooms!) and I got the French dip steak sando. Thankfully, I didn't get pasta... I was super full after the appetizers... and was only able to eat half the sando. The college kid finished it all. Hehee The cappuccino is delish! Had 2 cups. My caffeine fix for that day. The baguette is warmed and that butter is *muah* We had Dimi as our server, he was fantastic! Friendly and attentive, helped us shift my chair so that I could be more comfortable. Overall, an amazing lunch! Total bill about $180+"
"Last night’s dinner was genuinely enjoyable! Even though the place was packed, the Christmas decorations and warm lighting gave it a really cozy feel. If you’re sat in the middle of the ground floor it will get cramped, however, we were lucky to be sat along the side. Service was solid, he was great! Our server, Turgut, was friendly, charming, and more than willing to take all the photos we wanted, without disturbing the other tables. He wasn’t overly chatty, not hovering, just around when we needed him. Given how busy it was, the staff handled things well. We waited a bit before being seated, but nothing that threw off the night. The food was genuinely delicious! The table went quiet, which says everything. Growing up in France, it was actually nice to taste dishes that felt familiar, like a little flashback to French comfort food done right. Overall, it delivered exactly what you’d expect: good food, a warm atmosphere, and a night that feels well put together without being pretentiousness."
"Spectacular service, food, and vibe. Every dish was 11/10 and our server Yusef was fabulous. The decor for the holidays is so special. You must try the French onion soup! We had the onion soup, escargot, steak frite, mushroom ravioli, and the scallops. Espresso martini was amazing as well! Perfect lunch for the holiday. And I can’t compliment the playlist enough! Joyful through and through."
"Staff prohibited me from opening my laptop. Mind you I was ordering a full meal and a drink. Also their outside was empty at 12:30 midday. Too many..."
