This is an institution that clearly values their guests, customers and patrons. Whether it's hotel guests simply staying the night, frequently traveling business people or locals seeking a high class establishment, Buttonwood doesn't disappoint. Whether you're served by the owner Willie or by the bartender Josh, you'll find the cocktail experience second to none. Dazzlingly fresh ingredients line the bar, cucumbers, strawberries, mint, fresh fruits from a basket used to sell to hotel guests. Bartenders reach into their stock to chop, muddle and shake premium cocktails to perfection. Beautiful crystal glasswear, stunning granite bartop, and fantastic funky music only add to the allure and ambiance of this top class establishment. I tried the food and it's was FANTASTIC. Ordering the burger I was pleasantly surprised to find it is a thick, juicy, cheesy, crispy experience, cooked perfectly to order. A far cry from a smash burger or fastfood style puny patty on a frozen bun, this is a steakhouse style burger that imo far out classes anything in the area. My tablemates had the salmon and pan seared chicken with mushroom sauce that both looked absolutely amazing. The Salmon in particular appeared glistening and butter soft. All dishes were an ample portion without overdoing it. In all what I would say about is, this an intimate, upscale, classy, dimlit establishment with phenomenal cocktails, great food and funky fantastic music. It's a real gem..."

"Fine but nothing special. You are basically having breakfast in a windowless bar with a bartender serving you. Both empty and kind of noisy. Forced 18% gratuity. Not sure how this place managed to get such a high star rating."

"I was really disappointed with my experience at Buttonwood Café. When I asked about toast, the server told me it would be $1. However, when the check came, I was charged $4 instead. On top of that, the server added a tip to the bill without asking or informing me. I always leave a tip when the service is good, but I don’t appreciate it being added automatically without my consent. It felt misleading and unprofessional."
