What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I often get my bike repaired next door at Larry's Freewheeling. Always see a crowd in this cafe, and finally check it out after a decade. It was my first AND last time. Service was mid; took a long time with zero sense of urgency. The coffee tastes burnt and bitter - I didn't finish the iced latte. The bagel was incredibly sad for an NYC bagel, and lacked an NYC amount of schmear. I'm glad I tried it! I just won't be going back. If you're looking for coffee nearby - highly recommendimg Superhet Coffee!!"
"Server brought menu to others AT the table while insisting I come up to the counter for the menu and stand there to order; perhaps they were regulars. Ask for my oatmilk latte to be served in a ceramic cup since I was sitting at a table and staying to eat, got a paper cup instead and when I ask for ceramic was told I get more in a paper cup. Even after an 18% tip, I can't get the ceramic cup which cools faster and doesn't come with the papercup/waxy smell and taste. There was no offer to warm my scone which DID come on a ceramic small plate!"
"I ordered a Jay's Jeepney and blueberry scone. Service was great. Cute, Paris-style vibes. Great place to sit in the window and people watch."
"I’ve been a loyal patron of Amrita Cafe for over eight years, and it never disappoints! The atmosphere is consistently pleasant, with a delightful mix of classical music, jazz, and even some modern pop or hip-hop. The staff, especially the cashiers, are always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The culinary highlights are truly remarkable. The chef’s skills shine through in my go-to order: the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. It's always delicious! And I can't forget to mention the cappuccino—it's consistently on point and has become a bit of an obsession for me. The fresh cookies are a must-try, with the chocolate chip cookie reigning supreme, closely followed by the oatmeal cookie. Conveniently located on 110th St. by Central Park, Amrita Cafe is perfect whether you're looking to enjoy breakfast or lunch inside or take your drink outside to soak in the park's beauty. It’s truly the perfect little café for the area! Highly recommended!"
"I've heard of this place for lunch, unfortunately all I did was to have a coffee and brownie and were very yummy. Def will liek to come back and give a try to the food. The only thing is that when I was there, most tables and chairs had food crumbs. The staff saw me cleaning and changing tables and didn't bother to come clean. Other than that it was ok. A 3 overall start rating beacuse I did not have a full experience. Once I get ill adjust accordingly."
"-Staff was very helpful and kind even though they seemed overwhelmed. -I had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on multigrain toast. It was terribly dry..."
