"We were in the neighborhood on our evening walk when we stumbled upon Dear Mama. And can I just say: Dear Mama! The ambience was exquisite, the food - all day breakfast - was to die for, and the service by Leora was out of this world. She told us about the provenance and rich culinary history of all of the dishes especially the signature sauces and she hooked us up with the fresh chocolate chip cookies and the lavender muffin as well. The love of my life even wanted to run away with her, and she just had foot surgery. This place earns all the stars in the universe in my book, but Google only lets me provide five."

"there is almost no competition nearby and there is the fact one is eating in a renzo piano building. so….great location in a otherwise poor location area. prices are too high but the quality is also high. 6.53 for a small cappacino. ( i was just getting used to the usual 5.50. ) I will say it was perfect. by that i mean consistent foam and the milk was not boiled - a major faux paux for me. And 14 for a sandwich. This baguette style sandwich is about the same as at the chain paris baguette which charges 10. But still if you need to meet somebody for a lunch date and stay close by this is the place to do it. sit outside weather permitting and enjoy the remarkable space!"

"cute cafe!! lots of counter space to sit. half sit down restaurant other space is for people to do work or drink a coffee. disappointed there were not gluten free or vegan bakery items but coffee was good. got a cafe oulait that was somehow still $6? but was delicious and servers were super nice and friendly. pleasant space"

"Really good in person experience. This is located in the back of a Columbia building but the staff is nice and everything I have had is great. The 3 stars are because they do not let you order any coffee or their baguette sandwiches after “breakfast” which just seems arbitrary. They are open, it’s 12:05. I can’t order a mcm and a cheese& prosciutto sandwich. WHY?!? That being said they do half priced bottles of wine mon-wed while most places in the area only do that on Monday so it’s a nice option to have in the afternoon… just wish I could also have a coffee."
