"A few months ago, at the corner of 78th and Lexington, a sign announcing that the cafe woukd be opening in the winter of 2025! I didn’t think that was possible but the cafe opened in December and when I visited in early January, I was very impressed by the ambiance of Eataly’s larger stores had been condensed into a much smaller retail cafe. I spoke with Danielle who explained that everything they sell, their pizzas, sandwiches etc are all made in their kitchen and I was delighted by how delicious everything I ate tasted. The prices are a little higher thsn the other cafes and local restaurants but their presentation and the quality is definitely worth the joys of experiencing Eataly Cafe!"

"We stopped in this new EATALY today after lunch to check it out. It has a nice corner location on Lex at 78th st. Inside, you first see the gelato counter, then the cafe and cashiers and then the counters full of pastries and sandwiches. In the rear, there are racks of prepared foods to take out. We ordered a chocolate pastry and a medium Americano. Pastry was excellent and the coffee was made just right. Prices are higher than at other nearby premium bakeries. Very busy when we were there just after lunch. We had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. Very nice experience so we will definitely return."

"Stopped by the Eataly Upper East Side café and really enjoyed the experience. I tried their seasonal BISCOCCINO and a MOCHA LATTE, and both were excellent. The Biscoccino was a standout: smooth espresso blended with butterscotch syrup and foamed milk, topped with whipped cream, almond streusel, and crunchy Loacker Quadratini wafers. It was sweet, nutty, and comforting without overwhelming the coffee. The mocha latte was equally well done—rich and chocolatey but still nicely balanced, not overly sweet. Paired with a beautifully presented chocolate dessert the name of which I don’t recollect :; that was indulgent yet not heavy, everything felt thoughtfully prepared and true to Eataly’s quality. A great spot for a relaxed coffee-and-dessert break on the Upper East Side."
