from Google"Deliciosa !!! Totally recommend the grilled skirt steak options and sweet fried plantain. Also great service and lively atmosphere."
"For those that know a good enchilada, this is the place for you! My wife and I went there at 8pm on a Tues and it was busy but not too busy. They were able to seat us without a reservation. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The enchilada sauce was amazing. It was zesty and tangy, but not too spicy hot. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Far too often the chicken can be dry in enchiladas, but not here. My wife had fried plantains with cheese and crema. She also liked her plantains. My wife loves tamarind aqua fresca and they had it here. The service was friendly and prompt. We had our food quickly. The price was reasonable."
"My go-to spot for everything. You truly can’t go wrong with Fonda. It’s perfect for any occasion: upscale without being uptight, beautifully designed, and very reasonably priced considering the quality and flavor of the food. And the food… it’s fantastic! As someone born and raised in Mexico, I come here whenever I miss home cooking. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, but please don’t miss the zarape de pato. It’s absolutely delectable. I brought my [Mexican] mom here while she was visiting. She was skeptical. She lives in Mexico, so what could a Mexican restaurant in the U.S. possibly offer her? Well, she’s now obsessed. She mentions that zarape at least every few weeks, still trying to replicate the sauce, and regularly tells me I should go have some. So yes, it has my full endorsement. And my mom’s too, all the way from rural Mexico, a place known for its incredible cooking."
"If you’re craving authentic Mexican food with a modern twist, Fonda is the place to be. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant, yet cozy atmosphere made us feel like we were dining in a neighborhood gem. The restaurant has a warm, inviting vibe with colorful decor that’s not over-the-top, but just right to set the mood. We started with the guacamole with tortilla chips, and it was absolutely divine—fresh, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice. For the main course, I had the enchiladas verdes, which were fantastic. The chicken was juicy, the sauce was tangy and rich, and the dish was perfectly balanced. My friend opted for the mole chicken, and it was a winner too – the mole sauce was rich and deep, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The margaritas were also a highlight – refreshing, not too sweet, and served with a salted rim. They really know their way around cocktails at Fonda. The service was friendly and attentive, and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Overall, Fonda is the perfect spot for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors with a contemporary edge. It’s casual, vibrant, and the food is absolutely top-notch. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!"
