"Ground Support Cafe has officially become my SoHo coffee stop. Inspired by Melbourne and tucked right into West Broadway, it has that relaxed, neighborhood living room feel where people actually linger, read, and talk, not just grab and go.  We ordered a flat white, a cappuccino, and the oats, and I would come back for all three. The espresso tastes like a true medium roast, smooth and balanced, with zero bitterness and lots of flavor. The flat white had silky microfoam and the most perfect swan poured on top, the kind of latte art that makes you smile before the first sip. The cappuccino was equally on point, airy foam, rich espresso, and still tasted great as it cooled. The oats were cozy and satisfying, just the right level of creamy and sweet, more “grown up breakfast” than sugary treat, and such a good pairing with coffee. Service was kind and efficient, even when the line was steady, and you can tell the baristas take pride in what they are pulling. Between the espresso, the art, and the calm buzz of SoHo outside the window, this is exactly the kind of cafe I look for when I travel."

"Nice coffee spot. Airy, fresh ambience. Benches indoors. Good coffee, great bites. This place is more tailored for grab and go. You can see that in the serving cups, fast service. Personally, serving containers do not matter to me if coffee is good. So, it is a minor point for me. But one can absolutely choose to stay in. Seats are great. I saw people working at many seats. I had cortado and a point cake slice. Both very good."

"I’m updating my original review because the owner’s response didn’t reflect what actually happened. The policy itself wasn’t the issue, it was the way it was enforced. We walked in with a small bag of food visibly in hand, ordered a latte, paid, and sat down. If outside food isn’t allowed, that’s totally fine, but that’s something that easily could have been mentioned before taking our order. Once we became paying customers, we expected the same basic courtesy every other café offers. We weren’t asking for exceptions, just basic hospitality. A quick, courteous reminder of the policy while still allowing paying customers to finish what they purchased would’ve gone a long way. That would have respected the rule and acknowledged the fact that we supported the business. Instead, within seconds of sitting down, multiple employees approached us about the outside food — even as we were already getting up to leave. The repeated, rushed nature of it made the interaction feel unnecessarily aggressive, not “polite” as described in the owner’s reply. What made it more confusing was the inconsistency. Several people were sitting with laptops and no visible orders at all, yet we were the only ones treated as an issue despite having just bought something. We weren’t trying to sit and eat for free, we were genuinely trying to enjoy the drink we purchased. And to top it off, the $8 “chai” was essentially a cup of ice with only a splash of chai mixed in. Policies are policies, and that’s fine. But hospitality is about how you communicate them, and this experience missed the mark. Won’t return — There are so many better options in the area."
