"I was a little skeptical about visiting The Bar at first, but I wanted to try something new. I’m so glad I did. My server, Nya, immediately made me feel comfortable—she was so kind, patient, and genuinely attentive. She took the time to talk me through my initial hesitation and made sure I had an amazing experience. Nya also suggested and crafted drinks that perfectly matched my tastes, paying attention to what I liked and didn’t. I truly appreciated her warmth and conversation throughout the night. Thanks to Nya, I had a great time and will definitely be coming back."

"Had an unusual (but not atypical) experience trying to go to this establishment. I was not allowed in due to dress code, citing “EXCESSIVELY **baggy** jeans”. I was wearing straight cut pants with boots that did not scrape the floor. I suspect being Brown was the /dog whistle/ here. Not surprised, this place is a meme and a nice stander-by informed me that they might take issue with my pants. If management knows what’s good for them, they’ll shape up. It’s my goal to see this place closed down‼️ What a strange place. I called their number that night at 4 AM and straight up said I had a racially biased experience and the nice guy on the phone didn’t skip a beat, didn’t seem surprised and was actually being helpful. He must know what goes on. Even if this ain’t your crowd, please make an attempt to get in, my POC brothers and sisters. Give them no peace."

"Fransesca made me wanna spin around jump up and down and holler. That girl serves the best Dr. Pepper bombs iv ever had. She in fact is so good at recommendations, that she introduced me to the one and only DR PEPPER BOMB. Fransesca is a very good bartender. She has the vibe. She has the eyes. She is the moment. In fact, she takes a moment, to capture the attention of her guests, she takes pride in her job. I have respect for that. Francesca Valle feels at home at the dog, she truly fits great behind this bar. What an amazing person to have hired. She introduced me to all my favorite drinks and I can’t thank her enough. Every time I go I don’t know what to get, and she gets it going. Here’s what I have to say: Green eyes gleam in the barroom glow, Fransceaca moves where the soft lights flow. She pours the night in silver streams, A keeper of laughter, liquor, and dreams. At Hair Of the Dog, beneath the sign’s song, She hums to the dark — where hearts belong."

"Winter Bear and I came here for a quick catch-up. The bar had both indoor and outdoor seating. There was only one waitress and they had a few games on the TV. The bathrooms were clean and had a few stalls. We ordered a few drinks and nachos to share. They had tons of specials and the drinks were strong. The fountain sodas were a bit watery. The nachos were generously sized and tasted fresh. The waitress/bartender was friendly but she was mostly drinking with other patrons. We had to go order at the bar to get service."

"I was in town from Michigan for Thanksgiving and met several NYU friends here to watch the Michigan game. Our waitress, Emma, was awesome. Attentive, timely and pleasant. She even had a Michigan jersey on. I’d definitely go back. Highly recommend."
