"Hello neighbor! This review is about sustainability only. 🙂 We are currently in a plastic waste crisis. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Over 95% of plastics that we create do not get recycled, and instead break down into microplastics that we consume. I appreciate that your coffee shop has real mugs available to customers. But it seems like no one in the shop knows about them. I wonder how you may be able to better communicate you’re offering a reusable mugs. Maybe that means putting up a sign, encouraging that customers ask for them, or having your barista’s explicitly ask customers if they are dining in or working from the shop. It is a shame to see so many Joe Coffee cups in the trashcan here. A clear indicator that people are staying to drink your coffee, but not utilizing the dishware that would make it more sustainable. Thank you for considering my note, and helping New Yorkers make better choices on behalf of our local and global ecosystems. Love your coffee, love your service, and would really love a bit more communications to encourage greener behavior."
