from Google"Interior design was beautiful, warm and intimate. Staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. I had a yuzu martini and the calamansi butterfish w/brussel sprouts The martini was great. I wish the butterfish tasted more/had any hint of calamansi in the dish, as I was looking forward to it. My friend told me her fried chicken was yummy."
"Dinner at Ma-dé was such a delight! I truly didn't know what to expect here, but I was so pleasantly surprised with everything I had. Upon arrival, the interior is beautifully decorated and has a whimsical feeling. The padang dinner was exceptional with so many different dishes and flavors to try! The side dishes are a bit more vegetarian forward but I thoroughly enjoyed them. For choosing the main proteins, we did the lamb ribs and butterfish. Both were exquisite and so wonderfully tender. You won't leave hungry here! I will happily recommend this place for others to try and can't wait to return myself."
"Incredible! We had the chefs tasting course experience and it was sooo good! The lamb ribs and fluke was the best! Also the eggplant and squash! The server Bojan was so genuine and kind! Also the decorations in the restaurant were stunning. I really appreciated the candles and flowers everywhere."
"This is my third time here and oh my god everything just gets better. Tried their original menu (dumplings are a MUST) but LOOOVED their new Padang-style concept. Tried their Liwetan Feast during Restaurant Week in January & LOVED that too. As an Indonesian, Ma•dé really SERVED all the dishes. Elevated, but surely a fantastic introduction to Indonesian cuisine. And don’t get me started on their desserts. Although the cookies remind me of the ones I had back home as a child, the pandan crepes (dadar gulung) and passionfruit sorbet stole the show. Will definitely be back to try their spring & brunch menu!!! Heard VERY GOOD things on their lamb ribs 🥰"
"While the food was excellent, the service was not up to the standard of the food or the price point. After each course, despite distinct flavors and sauces, we needed to ask for fresh plates and utensils. At a dinner, that’s understandable. At a high end restaurant, the plates and utensils should be replaced after each course without asking. Additionally, despite ordering a large amount of alcohol - two glasses of wine, two glasses of sake (which were laughably small for $16 - literally two sips), a bottle of sake, and a cocktail, we were called out for not tipping 20 percent on the entire bill, including tax. The service was subpar, given the price point, and we selected all of our own alcohol. We also had to repeatedly ask for drinks, after being without drinks for some time. Don’t call out customers for tipping fairly given poor service. And, don’t expect customers to tip 20% on a large amount of alcohol. Do better! Note: I’ve been going to Jean Georges restaurants since I was a kid. I know fine dining and service. This was a service disappointed all around."
