"This place used to be amazing and very affordable…two or three items back in the day was priced at $2.00 and some change…I bought a pastry and an orange juice…$11. Which makes sense I guess…the bathroom being closed at 4:30 when they closed at 6:00pm is kinda sucky. The male worker also just seems like he doesn’t want to be there. The tall women is really great though!"

The hot chocolate is creamy and thick and not too sweet; the strawberry lemonade is refreshing and tart with sharp slivers of freeze-dried strawberries; the smoothies (chocolate banana or strawberry banana) are satisfying, and the coffee is classy. The vibe in Matto is immaculate: you can chill and be anonymous or you can hang and chat. It’s a nice spot to meet a friend for a cup of tea, or to swing by and grab a treat. They have a good mixture of savory (omelette croissant or spinach bureka) and sweet (banana bread or scone). If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this spot."
