"Last Sunday, I went to this MATTO location - to which I’d never been - on my way to church. (Love its proximity to St. Bart’s church on Park Avenue. Nice!) It was a modest space, in terms of its size; yet its high ceilings and clean, fresh atmosphere made it seem bigger than it actually was. The young man behind the counter (forgive me, as I did not get his name), was welcoming, polite and efficient. He also made a wonderful matcha latte, with ceremonial grade matcha…and trust me, I’ve had quite a few matcha lattes in my day, so I’m a bit of a matcha snob. Ha! : ) So, my compliment really means something. Well, he made it with half and half, per my request, and it was deliciously rich.
