What People Are Saying
from Google"We came here for dinner over the weekend. It’s a nice, cozy spot, maximizing the limited space for seating, as many spots in the area do. We sat on bar stools by the window, which looks out on the street. The service was attentive and we enjoyed the nicely plated dishes we ordered. I was too full for dessert, but they sounded delicious, too. The only downside was, there were some very loud people whose voice you could hear so loudly even from the bathroom. I’m sure it depends on the crowd, but it wasn’t the most pleasant experience."
"I absolutely love this French restaurant!!! I went there first time Six years ago when I just moved to New York and fall in love! And keep coming back! They have amazing food , great service, and atmosphere! This time we ordered oysters , Foie gras, hanger steak and truffle risotto with scallops, and creme brulee for desert. Everything was FANTASTIC! And had some special cocktails. I will highly recommend this place for everyone who is looking for cute spot in West Village and good food."
"Came here for lunch & fell in love with this little simple French boutique restaurant! The open style kitchen gives it a home feeling. It wasn’t busy and has outside seating. This hidden gem came with such amazing flavors in everything I tasted shrimp and meatball appetizers are a must and the chef granted us The beef bourguignon for lunch and am I glad he did !!! The service was great and they made us all the martinis with love. If you’re in the west village definitely drop in !! See you there. 💛"
"Loved our dinner at St Tropez. The staff was quick, personable, and very accommodating. The food was delicious (especially the escargot), and our waiter, Johan, was the best. Thank you for the great meal and for taking us a little earlier than our original reservation!"
"St Tropez West Village is nothing short of magical - it’s cozy and romantic with big bay windows and a rustic homey feel. Very well done French bistro cuisine. Love the hanger steak and scallops. And the desserts… save room and splurge, you will not regret it. Food, service and wine selection - all are above and beyond. If you are looking for a cute, classy West Village date spot, this is it! Book one of the super cute bay windows that look out on West 4th Street. It’s dreamy… P.s. I’ve been many times. Read on for a personal story and if you’d like to know more :) Most recent visit was this Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I called the restaurant to book one very specific window bay, and I enlisted their help in proposing to my now fiancée! We had our first date here and I wanted to recreate our first date. Yohann and Ali and their staff pulled out all the stops to make our evening perfect, from setting up our table with photos and capturing our moment, to letting us celebrate well after the last patrons had left, and like I said, always save room for dessert here. The chocolate mousse can change your world. I hadn’t met the owner and management until this week, but they insisted on treating us to champagne, several desserts, honestly, it was too kind. St Tropez is a West Village neighborhood gem that will warm your heart and satisfy your palate."
