from Google & Yelp"Very friendly place and the upgraded space is great, with more tables and room to sit and enjoy your drink. Their matcha latte is one of the best, and the turmeric golden latte is also really good. Espresso is consistently well made, and they clearly care about quality. A solid neighborhood coffee spot!"
"Tenz Espresso Bar is a cozy neighborhood gem on First Avenue that takes its coffee seriously. Their latte is smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced — the kind that reminds you why small espresso bars still matter in New York. It’s made with care, perfectly steamed milk, and a strong espresso base that doesn’t get lost in sweetness. Pair it with their chocolate muffin, which is dense yet tender with just the right amount of cocoa — a little indulgent but never too heavy. The space is compact but inviting, ideal for a quick morning stop or an afternoon recharge. Friendly baristas and consistent quality make Tenz a must-visit for coffee lovers in the area."
"I had an incredibly delicious flat white here. The owner was so kind, and the café had such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It felt like the perfect little hideaway to relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee. This place feels like it has a lot of loyal regulars who come by every day. I've only been here twice so far, but the owner always chats with the customers in such a friendly way—it really creates a warm and homey vibe. Today, I got a pastry to-go, and it tastes just as good as it looks!"
"Tenz is one of the best parts about living in this neighborhood! Been a regular for a few years now. They are fast, friendly, and the drinks and pastries are so on point. I’m also a big matcha person and this is one of the best I’ve had in the city—super strong and super green. Tenz has 5 stars for a reason 💗"
"I've been to a lot of coffee shops in my life, and this is my favorite. The coffee is good, the service is super fast, and the employees are genuinely nice people. But what really makes this place special is that it actually feels like a local community spot. There currently are only three people I've ever seen working behind the counter, and it was special to watch them expand from their tiny shop to a larger location. So many coffee shops feel soulless, but this place is different...You can really tell they care about what they've built here. The design seems so thoughtful – there are these cute cartoon animals on the walls, and Tenz told me they put them there specifically so babies in strollers have something to look at while their parents wait in line. I feel lucky to live near a shop that so much care has been put into!"
