"Ordered a breakfast burrito in the middle of the work day. Service was poor; staff remained on their phone during the entire time I was ordering, and when I politely asked for details about an item on display, they did not provide any and told me to just read the sign. After waiting for over 20 minutes (there was not a single other customer during this time), I politely asked for an update, and they said they could not provide any as I guess they don't communicate with their kitchen downstairs. The burrito was fine, but for 20$ for a breakfast burrito I would expect at least half-way decent service, which I was not provided. I can't imagine what it's like when there's actually a line (which is most of the time). Suffice it to say, I don't plan on going back."

"they do NOT know how to make their drinks 😞🫩 it was actually so bad and had to ask them to remake it few times. by the way, the drink is so expensive and imagine not knoeing how to make it properly? actually irritating. The only good thing is their vibes. they have bo seating except two benches outside the cafe."

"THE ELK is THE spot. Serving up amazing coffee, breakfast all day, and a delicious lunch menu make this one of my favorite cafes in the west village. Even T Swift has mentioned she loves this place. I decided to switch it up on my last visit and try something off the drink special menu. I went with the Cinn-Full latte and it was incredible. The espresso, cinnamon and honey combo was perfect and dangerously delicious. I added a cheddar chive scone and it was SO good."
