"Run don’t walk to zabars!! Not exactly a hidden gem but an underrated one maybe? I don’t think many visitors know about it. A much better version of whole foods. Prices were very fair or even cheap for most things in NYC. The selection is amazing. Fresh prepared food and sandwiches. Great bagels. I can’t say enough good things about it. An institution for a reason! Support local and come check this place out. You will not be disappointed."

"I finally made it to Zabars, a NYC institution! I got some chocolate babka, which was one of the best babkas I've had. I also got some cinnamon rugelach, which was really tasty. Their house blend coffee was glorious and perfect on a cold winter's day. Zabars has so many high quality products and I can't wait to go back."
