What People Are Saying
from Google"Loveee this place! The view from the place overlooking the Hudson River is beautiful. I have been wanting to visit this place for a couple of months. Thankfully it was today and I loved it! The ambiance is beautiful. Neat. I got to meet the owner's granddaughter Gigi. She was the sweetest. She runs the place. We arrived at the place around 3 pm, and all the baked goods were sold out. We were lucky to try the almond croissant and the chocolate orange biscotti. Both were yummy. We tried their hazelnut coffee and macadamia nut coffee - both were great. I can’t wait to come back to try more baked goodies."
"There are cafés you visit, and cafés that quietly claim a place in your heart. Anna & Pierre Le Café is the latter— a place that will always have a home within you. My friend and I chose a window seat overlooking the Hudson River, where the afternoon sun drifted in like a warm, silent blessing. The late-autumn chill softened on our shoulders, and the world seemed to breathe more gently. The staff moved with a kind, attentive calm—present without intruding, warm without effort. I ordered my usual latte and a Hiss Tykke Danish , and recommended it to my friend. To our surprise, it was soft, fragrant, and not spicy at all—a small shared delight that made us smile at the same moment. In that quiet hour, sunlight, river light, and conversation intertwined. Nothing dramatic—just the simple poetry of warmth, care, and good coffee. A place you remember not because it tries, but because it touches you softly… and stays."
"We LOVE Ana Et Pierre! As the GM of another local coffee shop, I was so inspired by Gigi. The coffee they serve, the pastries, and the atmosphere are all incredible. I was able to visit a couple of times (definitely not my last) and it was easy to get work done, chat with friends, and even get some pro tips on how to be the best in the biz. I am in love with the way this shop is set up and the coffee is divine. My go to is an iced americano. A simple drink but one that really allows you to taste the shop’s coffee and honestly, one of my favs in Poughkeepsie! This place is a must if you’re traveling, local, or just looking for a cute place to sit."
"Spent a rainy day working here. Great view over the hudson, good Wi-Fi and access to power outlets. Prices are somewhat higher than average in Poughkeepsie but fair when you'll sit there for a long time. Both tea and coffee tasted great, the cappuccino in particular is very stylish. Atmosphere in the café was warm and welcome, some music playing but not to loud. The service was terrific."
"Winter update! I had to come out after the storm for their spiced hot chocolate, which was delicious. And of course I had to get their almond croissant. I also ordered hot chocolates and cinnamon buns for my neighbor’s kids and they told me they approve! ********************************** Autumn update! The maple hazelnut latte was delicious and had a small marshmallow speared by a maple leaf skewer. These little touches are what makes it so worth coming here! ********************************* Summer update! They now have cold brew coffee, which is smooth and delicious. A perfect summer drink! ******************************** Update: The almond croissant is heaven and enjoying their cream earl grey tea. In the last month I had their mocha latte (amazing!) and their lemon tart. Their sandwiches on the weekends are delicious as well. On the one hand I don’t want college students in the area to discover this wonderful place but then again I want them to thrive and stay in the neighborhood. Enjoying the quiet right now this Sunday mid morning. ************************************ I found my new place for coffee and pastry! I’ve been wanting to come here since their opening and finally did so today. First, the space is so beautiful, warm and cozy. The owner has an incredible eye for design and for comfort. There’s plenty of seating and the view out of the window is remarkable being right across from the Hudson River and you can see the walkway. I ordered hot chocolate which was beautifully presented and tasted rich and creamy with a touch of cinnamon. The temperature was just right so I can drink it right away without scalding my tongue. The raspberry croissant was a nice accompaniment to the hot chocolate. It was filled with raspberry and cream cheese. Yum! Last but not least is being greeted with such warmth by the owner who brought me my order, as I sat on the comfy couch looking out the river. I look forward to visiting often! Note: When driving to the cafe, go to the end of the road at the river then take a right. It’s on the bottom floor of an apartment building and the door opens to the outside. There’s parking on the side. I hear that improved signage and parking are on the docket by the management company."
