"Admittedly was a little skeptical coming in; a coffee & candy shop combo— weird. Have to say though, we got The Valkyrie(iced), the Marabou(hot), a cheddar scallion pastry, a cardamom pastry, and a prepackaged Strawberry Shortcake Cookie and was impressed by all of it. The coffee specials ARE flavorful and sweet so if you're more into traditional coffee bean flavors then they're probably not for you, but we thought they were wonderful. The cheddar scallion and cardamom pastries were much more fresh than expected and both very tasty independently. If you're not a fan of cardamom or have never had it in a pastry before then I'd recommend giving it a try, but the spice is a like it or lose it kind of flavor. Fortunately, we like it. Service was friendly and helpful with suggestions. Bathroom was clean, although the hand dryer was not functioning, nor were there paper towels as a backup. The eating area was clean and welcoming. The candy section doesn't really do much for me, but it was good to see some imported Scandinavian treats regardless. I will definitely be back to what I'm calling Hicky & Fig because I'm still not sure how to pronounce Fika & Hygge. It's nice to finally see a unique cafe cuisine in the Hudson Valley and Poughkeepsie. My only critique is that the selection of baked good menu items is just not enough. I don't want to force lesser pastries onto the menu, but having only 2 options will make it difficult for some folks to find something to pair with a coffee."

"Great addition to the area. As a person with sweet tooth especially for gummies I’m trying to avoid this place because the selection is great and I can’t justify spending $20+ on candy every time I stop byᵕ̈ love their coffee! I usually go for a cortado and it was good! No cash accepted so keep that in mind when visiting!"

"This is my 2nd visit and enjoyed a cafe au lait. The coffee is smooth and easy to drink. I’ll have to try a coffee with cardamom, a common spice used in Swedish baking. The space is quite different from other coffee shops in the area in that it’s open, airy and light colored furniture, which I like. They also have a wall of Swedish candies that you can scoop into a bag. I’m not into candy but I imagine this feature will be popular among the youth and college aged students. The service is warm and welcoming, and their shop is one of few open on Mondays. Look forward to when they’ll reinstate later hours."

"5 stars all around! I came back today after trying it last week. The people and the atmosphere is so nice. Sat down with my husband and we just enjoyed our coffees together. I got the Fika, a white chocolate latte with lavender, rose and cardamom, It was so subtle and delicious, not too aromatic or medicinal, just the right combination. My husband got a cold brew, he is a plain coffee lover and really liked it. Just as a cherry on top, this time I got a bunch of candy, it came out to about 10 dollars, we ate a third just there in the store, I tried a few different unusual ones and stuff I would not normally get at the store. The candy was amazing, fresh and interesting flavors. Highly recommend this spot! Oh! I tried one of the vegan/gluten free cookies at the register and it was so soft and chewy, delicious!"

"I come here at least once a week and every time the staff is so incredibly friendly. I usually get a match latte & the matcha quality is definitely there! The Swedish candy is also a fun touch. Great place to peruse for a unique gift or pick me up when you need it."
