from Google"This place Rocks! Eclectic bar and restaurant. Great food, friendly service quick with a drink. Cutting edge music venue. Saw 4 bands in 1 night all for free. All while having ice cold draft beer and hot apps and pizza. The whole Highland Square neighborhood vibe is....."Hate to sound old school" GROOVY. Owners know how to make everyone feel welcome even though it's a local hangout."
"PATHETIC excuse for a sub. Idk if he’s trying to be like a NY deli with all cuts and subs he’s got, but it’s actually a very sad excuse even a “sandwich”. My sandwich was supposed to have 3 diff cuts in it, which it did, but about 1 slice of each. The meat couldn’t even cover the small hoagie bread it was served on. I have a penny for scale. I’ve bought from him years ago and the sandwiches were pretty legit. Now for $13 I get about 2 oz of meat on a 10oz piece of bread. Total let down, idk if it’s new management or what but the place isn’t what it used to be. Maybe he’s just trying to act like a proper Brooklyn Jew and penny pinch, although they at least load their sandwiches/subs at their delis over there. (I got the “Sam Rothstein - Jewish Italian”, how fitting 🤣)"
"First time coming, found Mr.Zubs online. The food looked amazing. I ordered carry out from an extremely nice girl. I ordered the Rocky Steak Sub and a side of Mushrooms. The Mushrooms were 7 dollars and I got maybe 7 tiny mushrooms. They were delicious but can’t justify the price. The Steak Sub was so disappointing, no cheese, no mayo, barely any meat extremely small for 11.50$. I only reason for a 5 Star, I can’t penalize the workers. They are told to serve tiny portions. However, unfortunately I will not ever return to this extremely High price low quality food."
"Well, what can I say about this place? At first glance, the bar looks interesting with its movie-themed décor — definitely eye-catching. Unfortunately, that’s where the good impressions ended. There was no greeting when we arrived and no waitstaff in sight. Everything has to be ordered through a kiosk, which already took away from the dining experience. The menu looked promising, though, so I decided to give it a chance and ordered the “Rocky Balboa” steak sandwich. It looked great in the picture, but what I got was disappointing — barely any meat, no cheese, and very little flavor. I also ordered tater tots, which were bland and tasted like they’d been fried in old oil. My wife ordered “The Duckie” sandwich, and after one bite, she couldn’t eat it. Her seasoned fries were also flavorless and had the same bad oil taste. Honestly, I’ve had better food from a gas station for a fraction of the price. For the quality and portion sizes, they should at least include fries or tots with the sandwiches. I’m from Cleveland, and I can’t recommend this establishment to anyone. My guess is that the poor food and service might be due to an overly large menu. This place would be a perfect candidate for Kitchen Nightmares. Such a shame — it has potential but really missed the mark. 😔"
"First time here and was very impressed. Loved the decor and the menu is great. Sandwiches are named after iconic movies.. they have an extensive selection. Abigail at the front desk (where you order) was very nice and personable. Bartender was super nice as well. They have a nice beer selection. If you are in a hurry, you may want to go elsewhere. They take their time perfecting your order. We weren't in a hurry and knew it would be a minute. Sat on the patio and enjoyed each other's company, as one should. Life is too short to whine about where your food is. My daughter has been telling me about Zub's and it was a nice ending to our day at the Zoo. Will definitely revisit when I'm in the area. UPDATE: stopped in today (8/21) and was delish.. just as good as the first time. Bartender was friendly, and well made drinks."
