"I stopped in and ordered an espresso macchiato, followed by a cortado. The flavor on both drinks was good. Service was friendly at first but felt more average as the visit went on. Parking is easy and close to the entrance, there are two doors for entry, and they offer outdoor seating for nicer weather. The interior, however, is not very warm or cozy. The cement/tile floors, white walls, and orange sketch-style accents give the space a cold, industrial feel rather than a relaxing coffee-shop atmosphere where you’d want to sit, unwind, and chat with a friend. There was one corner couch seating area that looked inviting, but overall the colors and design feel unwelcoming. Something as simple as a warmer accent wall or softer tones could make a big difference and might encourage more people to stay inside rather than just grab-and-go. I was also disappointed by the limited milk options. They only offer whole milk or oat milk—no skim, 2%, or any nut milks. I was told this was due to space limitations and allergy concerns, but the shop has a fair amount of seating and multiple rooms, and I’ve seen much smaller coffee shops offer more alternatives. Oat milk also isn’t ideal for everyone, as many contain added sugars and can be problematic for those with gluten sensitivities unless clearly labeled gluten-free. A lower-sugar option like unsweetened almond milk would be a welcome addition. Pricing also felt inconsistent. I was charged the same price for an espresso macchiato—which is essentially a shot of espresso with a very small amount of milk—as I was for the cortado, which contains significantly more milk. Typically, those drinks are priced differently. The milk itself also wasn’t anything exceptional. Living in an area where high-quality local milk is readily available (such as Hartzler Dairy), it would be nice to see more support for local farms rather than using standard out-of-state milk products. Supporting local sourcing is something many customers appreciate. They also do not offer latte art. This stood out because their website includes photos that appear to show latte art, which may have been taken by the owners rather than customers, as most customer-posted photos do not show any specialty presentation. This isn’t a dealbreaker, but I personally reserve higher ratings for coffee shops that go above and beyond in presentation and customization. While the coffee itself is solid, the limited customization options, pricing inconsistencies, and uninviting interior brought my rating to three stars."

"We made our first visit this morning and what a fantastic spot. Great ambiance and the coffee was some of the best we have had in the area. The seasonal scone was delicious. The service was prompt and as kind as could be. I really appreciate that they will serve you in glassware if you’re ordering in (I really dislike when places serve in disposable cups when it’s not to go…more unnecessary trash). I wouldn’t change a thing!"

"We really wanted to like this place. It's very cute from the outside. The barista was great. However, it was not clean past the counter (customer areas). Everything behind the counter/batista workspace was in great condition. When we went to the bathroom, it felt rundown with no mirror and the dollar store soap empty and thrown on the ground. Please invest in a small mirror and dispenser attached to the wall. It had so many reviews, we had high hopes, but everything looked dirty. It could be a good place to work solo on a laptop, but too small for a group of 3 or more. As for the coffee- We threw all of our coffees away after one sip (None of us have ever thrown a coffee away. It's wasteful.) and went to Pearl Tea and Coffee instead."

"Walkie Talkie Espresso & Coffee is one of my regular stops for a quick hot drink. I run Canton Appliance Repair, and when I’m in the area this is my go-to coffee spot. The lavender latte is hands down my favorite—I get it every time because it’s that good. Their drinks and coffee beans are excellent, and I also buy my beans here regularly. The decaf water-process option is especially nice. Service is always quick and friendly. Highly recommend."

"What a gem! Found this cute little coffee shop tucked away off a main road, while in the area. Had a decaf, oat milk cortado and it was very flavorful. I did not have any pastries but they looked yummy. Definitely will visit again if in the area"
