What People Are Saying

"Enjoyed a quiet midweek dinner on a cold January evening. It is in the old Taft brewery building and some of the features have been retained but I feel the modern furniture is at odds with the old building giving it a daytime cafe vibe rather than a cosy evening. Food was ok but unremarkable. Service was excellent."

"The work done here to make sure a brewpub is in place has been fantastic. A great spot for just about any occasion. We stopped in after a show at Music Hall/Memorial Hall. Fortunately it was not too crowded. Had a meal and a flight of their beer. The beer was very well done with a good variety to choose from. Food was tasty with sandwiches, small plates and appetizers available. Friendly and attentive service. Just a really cool atmosphere that maintains the OTR feel while providing a modern update."

"The Mellotone Beer Project offers a unique and thoughtful dining experience nestled within a beautifully repurposed 1800s church. The building itself is a visual treat, soaring ceilings, glass accents, wrought iron and historic bones that blend seamlessly creating a modern and sleek decor. It’s a space that strikes a rare balance between old-world charm and contemporary style. The brunch menu, while relatively simple in its offerings, is elevated through refined presentation and carefully considered flavors. Every plate feels hand crafted and not overdone, but sophisticated in its execution. You can tell the kitchen respects quality while putting a creative spin on a few brunch basics. Beyond the food, the atmosphere pays tribute to Cincinnati’s deep brewing and distilling roots. From the craft beer selection to the thoughtful design elements, the Mellotone Beer Project feels like a quiet nod to the city’s industrial past, wrapped in a clean, modern-day package. It’s a place where you can appreciate history while enjoying a well-poured pint and a beautifully plated meal."

"We went before the FC match. The chicken sandwich and wings were fantastic. The BBQ wings are a bit spicy. The bartender was very friendly and the stout on draft was good. Even though it was crowded we got our food pretty quickly. It was our first time there and we definitely enjoyed it."

"Absolutely wonderful experience at Mellotone. We walked in and were immediately impressed at the expansive beer and beautiful interior. We didn't have reservations so went down to the bottom floor bar, which was cozy and intimate. The cucumber salad and beer/citrus salad were amazing. Paired nicely with the drinks. I'd give it two thumbs up and definitely come back!"
