What People Are Saying
from Google"Heck's lives up to its reputation for having one of the best burgers in Cleveland. They offer a variety of styles, and they all deliver. The burgers are cooked perfectly, juicy, and packed with great flavors. The atmosphere is super cool, and they have an extensive weekend brunch menu if you're looking for something beyond burgers. We definitely recommend Heck's - they have multiple locations throughout the area. Make reservations, as the place was super busy."
"Went with my girl during the weekend to try their burger as I heard it’s one of the best in Cleveland. Called before I hit the road to check if I need a reservation, the lady over the phone was very nice. Made it to the place, we had to park on the street (which I did not like). The entrance and first impression was great, the host was super nice, tables are clean, atmosphere was great, the place was super clean and smells nice. The waiter (Angel) was Amazing! Food came in no time, drinks and awesome. The food tastes so good. Prices are acceptable, restrooms are very clean, smells good and has hot water. I will definitely give it another visit."
"It was a delicious welcome to Cleveland, a lovely place to have dinner, in the beautiful Ohio City area. Beautifully decorated inside and outside. Food menu was impressive in its variety and unique dishes. Service was excellent. Delicious meal! Street parking was free and easy to find on a weeknight. Thank you!!"
"I adore Heck’s. It’s the kind of neighborhood institution that feels like a second home. There’s an intangible familiarity here, a quiet comfort rooted not just in the ambiance, but in the team—many of whom have been there for years. It has that elusive “locals only” energy, which only adds to its charm. Heck’s hasn’t endured purely on its warm, welcoming atmosphere alone. The food and beverage is consistently strong. I often stop in simply for fries and a cocktail—both of which are standouts. The fries arrive piping hot, crisp, and perfectly cut and seasoned. Their spicy margarita is again perfect—well-balanced: bold, with just enough heat, sweet balanced with sour. They tend to disappear a bit too quickly—a testament to how well-executed they are. On a recent visit, I discovered the “sweet burger”—a fun dessert composed of a brownie and ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies, styled as a burger and served with funnel cake fries and a raspberry coulis “ketchup.” The cookies and brownie were standard, but the funnel cake fries with the coulis were phenomenal. I’d order it again purely for the funnel cake fries, coulis and the fun factor. All in all, Heck’s remains a beloved neighbourhood classic."
"You would think a place that's been making burgers as long as Heck's has would know to put the lettuce on the bottom bun, then the burger...always, but especially on carry-out orders. It was a soggy mess when i opened the container, and after a couple bites, the bottom bun was non-existent. Also if the menu says a burger comes with pickles, it should have pickles. A pickle spear on the side is lovely, but it doesn't count. The picture below doesn't even do justice to the gross bun because the angle isn't showing just how thin and soggy it has become. Not saying I would never eat there again, but I would definitely request the lettuce on the bottom. I do hope they take this to heart and change their practice. It's such a simple thing that can have such a huge impact on appearance, texture and taste."
