What People Are Saying
from Google"Visited North Market for the first time and the atmosphere was super cool. All the food vendors were friendly, and there was a huge selection to choose from. We ended up getting a little bit of everything. The Colo Market and Oyster Bar was my favorite—I might honestly say it was one of the best clam chowders I’ve ever had. The North Market Butcher Shop also had an amazing sandwich (can’t remember which one), plus we tried Indian food and desserts. So much variety in one place. Can’t wait to go back and visit again."
"What a fantastic place! So much good food! A lovely jewelry vendor, flowers, oils, cheese! Was our first time visiting and we will be back. Nice and close parking garage. Be sure to get your receipt for parking garage from the vendor you buy from. This is good for one hour of parking. Highly recommend North Market for a bite to eat and some local shopping."
"Great foodie fun stop. Shocker on this visit was the Philly Cheese Steak and Buckeye Crepe plus strawberry. The barbecue and dumplings were solid runners up. If you're bargain hunting get some fresh fries at the cheese steak shop and a slice of pizza. - otherwise prepare to spend $15-$20 Puerto item. The good is grood, but the swipes add up quickly. If you're patient you can find street parking within a block or two for cheap vs garage parking at special event prices."
"They validate parking if you park in the vine street garage. The vendors are all amazing and friendly. We purchased sour dough bread and fresh made ravioli filled with braised beef and ricotta. Definitely something for everyone to enjoy. I'll be trying the ramen on my next trip."
"The culinary delight called "North Market" in downtown Columbus, Ohio is any Foodie's "Dream Come True." It is an indoor venue with one large open space. There are approximately 25 independent culinary, bakery, retail spices, ice cream and coffee vendors, each with their own kitchen/prepare area. The 2nd floor offers plenty of tables and seating. The selections are for both the worldly and local palette. It seemed suprisingly clean as well (in a city, lots of food vendors and customers.) I visited with my 2 best friends who are themselves masters in the kitchen and we were all pleased. They chose lobster rolls and thoroughly enjoyed them. I chose "Holy Crepes!" to venture off of my regularly predictable cuisine path. "Holy Crepes!" offers both sweet dessert-ish and savory meal options. I selected the "Smoked Salmon with vegetables and a special sauce." It was absolutely divine! The 1 young man that took my order was personable, helpful and very low key. I felt no pressure to rush, decide and pay. He also offered me information about their menu items while I was perusing their menu. The 2nd young man that prepared my crepe was a master to watch; he used a series of circular heating surfaces (cooking several at once) and a unique tool to spread and move the batter constantly, eventually creating a circular crepe from its original batter, liquid form. The precise thickness was exquisite. It held the crepe's contents withouth falling apart. It was equally easy to eat by hand and with cutlery and was thoroughly delicious. The egg-based crepe itself was perfect in taste; it contributed to the overall experience with a light bakery, buttery taste. It didn't over- or under- power the contents. Price seemed reasonable for a city vendor-based lunch. I would glady return to both North Market and Holy Crepes!, the next time I'm in Columbus."
