What People Are Saying
from Google"11-26-25 We had the mayan mocha and vanilla caramel lattes. Both coffees were just a bit strong. The mayan has a spicy cayenne pepper taste, so if you don't care for heat don't order it. Could have been just a bit less hot. The vanilla caramel was good. We collect mugs from coffee shops, so the $20 mug made the total higher. $6.50 each for the large coffees."
"We stopped in for a quick cup of coffee while driving past town. We got a latte, drip coffee, and hot chocolate. The latte we good but the other two were lacking. It was street parking in front of the shop and was very full when we arrived. All in all, it was good but not great. If you found this review helpful, please give a 👍."
"Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - “An overall ‘fine’ experience” Service 🙋♂️ The service at Roaming Goat Coffee was okay, but nothing stood out. I tried to engage with the barista, Justin, about the music—Stormzy playing at 7 or 8 AM is a unique choice—but the conversation didn’t really take off. While he wasn’t rude, there wasn’t much warmth either, which left the interaction feeling a bit flat. Maybe it was just an off morning, but I was hoping for a bit more engagement. 🌟🌟🌟 Decor 🎨 The decor is nice, but it doesn’t set Roaming Goat Coffee apart from other cafes in the area. It’s a cool spot with a typical cafe vibe—comfortable but nothing that really grabs your attention. If you’re looking for a place to relax or get some work done, it definitely serves that purpose, but I wouldn’t call it a destination based on aesthetics alone. 🌟🌟🌟 Food 🍽️ As for the coffee, my latte was good but didn’t stand out as spectacular. It was a solid, enjoyable drink, but I didn’t find anything particularly memorable about it. It’s the kind of coffee that hits the spot but doesn’t leave a lasting impression. 🌟🌟🌟 In Retrospect 🤔 Reflecting on my visit, Roaming Goat Coffee offered a fine experience overall. The service and decor didn’t stand out, and while the latte was good, it wasn’t exceptional. That said, if you’re in the area and need a coffee fix, it’s a solid option. However, it may not be the most memorable cafe experience you’ll have in Columbus. Final Verdict: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 - “Good” Catchy One-Liner: “Roaming Goat Coffee: A cool spot for a decent cup, but nothing to write home about."
"Roaming Goat is my top choice for any local coffee shop. The flavors change throughout the season and the atmosphere is welcoming. I'm always greeted and the barista's always ask how life is going. I'm new to the Columbus, OH area and truly found a welcoming place I'll never forget!"
"Lovely traditional coffee shop. The staff are very patient with the customers who have a five-minute long list of customizations for their order, but the seasonal specials are wonderful. The current sweet potato latte is magical - it actually tastes like sweet potatoes, not just the spices!"
