from Google"Finally came to this decent restaurant at Short North with high expectations, but I was disappointed with their food and service. The dining room was splendid with a private room and a separated bar. There was even a bottle of hair gel in restrooms. Servers were dressed up nicely and WiFi was fast. However, my server was not attentive because he paid more attention to the big table people. We ordered a restaurant week combo and three courses came out at once without asking us. The salad was too sour. The pork was dry with a strong smell of meat. The fruit and Sauerkraut covered the unpleasant smell anyway. The flawless chocolate cake was too thick for us. It tasted great but I felt I was eating a compressed cookie. The fried oysters were also mediocre with a weird wasabi dressing. I could imagine the high price and small size, but the food was not delicious. Some friends recommend this fine dining to me, but I could not say it was a good experience."
"The Guild House is an outstanding dining experience. Everything was excellent, from the quality of the food to the impeccable service. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it the perfect place for both a special occasion and a comfortable evening out. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect, and the overall experience is refined without feeling pretentious. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a classy and enjoyable restaurant in Columbus. I really liked it and have no negative comments! 😊"
"10/10 all around. Incredible food selection and quality. Our server Travis was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive but didn’t linger. We split the beet salad and lamb chop + fried rice appetizers (lamb chops were delicious). I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly, medium-rare. Also tried the sea bass in lobster broth, which even came with some bites or lobster claw! Great wine, cocktail, and mocktail selection as well. I hope to be back in Columbus soon just so that I can go to Guild House again!"
"This was my first time at a high end restaurant so I didn't really know what to expect. I usually have the palette of a toddler (Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, nuggets, etc.) so I was worried about eating fancy food lol. I went in with an open mind and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the chicken to be safe but at the end of the night, I didn't taste 1 thing that I didn't like. The food was the best I've ever had in my 40 years of life. The service was top tier excellent, and the atmosphere was enough to make my first fine dining experience over the top. Food was pricey but so worth it. Would definitely go back and definitely recommend to others. Great great place❤️"
"Made a reservation here for a birthday meal for our party of 4. The entire party was so disappointed, in the food and the service. The restaurant was completely empty. Our service left a lot to be desired. From the start half (2 of the people) in our party, the drink orders were wrong. We were never told any specials, or that they had any at all. It wasn't until we were mid-meal, and a nearby table had the specials told to them, that we were informed that there were any. We had 2 appetizers - the carrot soup, and burrata. The carrot soup came out luke-warm, the dumplings were cold, stale and undercooked, and lastly -the burrata was laughable. The burrata was placed on 4 small, thinly sliced pieces of bread, the menu read sourdough - however you would have never known. The toast was drenched in olive oil, with a layer of what looked like squeezable avocado spread... making the toast a soggy pathetic mess. The entrées came out - The chicken, sirloin, pork and a lobster pasta dish. The chicken and pork dishes were as described - and were enjoyed. The sirloin dish featured a potato gratin that was roughly the same temperature as the cold plate it came out on, and the dumpling theme continued to the lobster pasta. It was undercooked, lacked any flavor, and was a stale unappealing mess. The only thing they seemed to have down, with the exception of the burrata, was presentation. For our party of four, the bill was over $200. No food was taken home. The whole experience was extremely underwhelming. Our waitress did make it a point to tell us that she'd been there since breakfast and she was tired (our reservation was for 5pm). This was an expensive experience that failed to deliver on quality or value."
