"Happy Bean Coffee Shop is one of my favorite local spots for coffee in Mount Vernon! It’s always spotless, welcoming, and filled with such positive energy. The staff is friendly and the drinks are consistently delicious. I recently tried the Spiced Hot Apple Cider and it was amazing! I love that they offer a variety of table sizes — whether you’re working solo on your laptop or meeting with a group, there’s a comfortable space for you. Plus, they have a fun selection of local products like maple syrup, books, and coffee mugs that make great gifts or little treats for yourself. Highly recommend stopping in for great drinks, friendly faces, and an uplifting atmosphere!"

"What a wonderful place! I could have spent all day in here! My seasonal blueberry pancake latte was beyond delicious, but I was so appreciative of ALL of the options, particularly the homemade flavorings and local maple syrup --- such a nice touch! The variety of the menu is amazing, and I cannot wait to go back and try more. They serve Fairlife milk, too, which I've never seen at a coffee shop before, but was so appreciative of. I had a blackberry oat bar that was homemade and absolutely delectable. Staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, cozy, and cheerful. They truly go above and beyond to make the experience special, from the smiling beans drawn on each cup to the array of gifts and treats available around the store. I had the most amazing afternoon at Happy Bean and cannot wait to return!"

"Nicely set in the older part of Mount Vernon. In a very large location. Very clean and modern wooden tables. The metal chairs is the only negative thing I will say. Too many shops and restaurants use these absolutely horrible metal chairs. They may look nice but are a terrible to sit on. I wish companies would stop buying these and get back to nice wooden chairs. The three shots of espresso I got was perfect. The staff is amazing and super nice. Their prices are very low compared to most coffee shops. More comfortable seating like sofa and loveseats would be perfect. Their selection of teas are very impressive also. The muffins are delicious. Really give this place a chance if you have not been."

"Wonderful selection of items that are fairly priced. I was able to get all of the items I needed for my home coffee and tea brewing setup with quality materials and beans here. The coffee and tea is especially fresh and with markings for roastings and discounts for older batches. The selection was quite great too for a local coffee shop. The service by the two people working there, a lovely lady and gentleman were extremely courteous and went out of their way to find some coffee filters for me and to offer their recommendations and personal tastes on the coffee they had for sale. I didn’t get to try some of their coffee as I was coming in for the materials I needed, but I’ll be sure to come back to try some of their coffee and tea! P.S. I got a great smelling car diffuser as well!"
