"The Attic on Adams is a unique little bar tucked along Adams Street in Toledo, Ohio. It sits right above the old restaurant Manos, giving it that cozy, slightly secret attic vibe the second you climb the stairs. Inside, you’re greeted by a warm, rich wood interior and soft, low lighting that gives the place a comfortable, lived-in feel. The walls are decorated with local art, photos of regulars, and fun collectibles the staff has gathered over time — it’s got real character. Walk past the front partition and you’ll find tables and chairs scattered throughout, with windows wrapping around the front so you can look out over Adams Street. There’s a pool table and other games to keep things lively, and on the opposite side, the bar stretches along the wall — a beautiful setup that leads to an upper balcony overlooking the parking lot. Outside, a huge projector plays movies or themed visuals, while inside, you’ll find another projector and several TVs showing sports and other entertainment. Further in, there’s a large dining area with plenty of seating, plus a cozy lounge space with a fireplace, big sofa, comfy chairs, a coffee table, and even board games and books. It’s the kind of spot where you can go from a night out with friends to a chill hangout without ever leaving your seat. There’s no jukebox or live bands, but the music is always on point — likely chosen by the staff, and it fits the mood every time. The Attic’s kitchen serves up great bar food — everything from crispy chicken strips and fries to solid vegan-friendly options. They even offer vegan sour cream, vegan cheese, and an absolutely amazing vegan chili that’s worth the trip on its own. The staff are what really make this place special. They’re vibrant, funny, and genuinely good people who know how to make a killer cocktail and keep the beer fresh. They also love to have fun with themed nights — dressing up and coordinating the décor and projectors to match the theme, which adds even more life and personality to the bar. The Attic on Adams is definitely a Toledo staple — a warm, welcoming local hangout that never disappoints. The drinks are great, the energy’s always good, and there’s always something fun going on. I stop in about once a week, and every visit is just as enjoyable as the last."
"Love the staff so much! Lizzie, Corey and William keep me coming back for more. Super laid back with great prices the attic is always a great time! The staff is attentive, welcoming and helpful. Food is fantastic as well but the staff is what really sticks out."
"Another great place to grab a drink and unwind after a long day. Usually filled with interesting characters who aren't out to make things about themselves, which I appreciate as someone who is completely full of himself (I leave reviews on Google, after all)."
"This is a spot my friends and I have frequented and loved for years, and I’m writing this review to share some recent observations and feedback. The food is great, the drinks are amazing, and the staff—especially Cory—have always been warm and welcoming. However, I’ve noticed a recurring pattern with one of the bartenders, William, that I feel compelled to address. On several occasions, I’ve observed William selectively asking Black patrons for ID while not requesting the same from white patrons. This has happened to me, my friends, and other Black individuals—and only when ordering from William. To be clear, I fully support ID checks to ensure compliance with legal drinking laws. What’s concerning is the inconsistency—and the implication that race might be playing a role in who gets carded. If ID checks are necessary, they should be applied fairly and consistently across all patrons. As much as I’ve enjoyed this place over the years, I don’t feel comfortable supporting an establishment that appears to judge or treat patrons differently based on race. I hope management will take this seriously and work to ensure that all guests are treated with fairness and respect. Thank you kindly."
