"I ordered via Doordash. I got Mac's Breakfast sandwich with ham, egg, and cheese. I also added the loaded home fries. What I received was completely unacceptable. My sandwich was burned and hard like a sconce. You could literally knock on it. You could not chew through it. I asked for lettuce and it was a sliver of lettuce that was browning. Additionally, my loaded home fries had burned cheese, scorched potatoes, and uncooked, refrigerator cold, crunchy onions and peppers just thrown in probably last minute. After peeling the burned cheese there was little to no potatoes under it. This was the most disappointing, disgusting, distasteful"

"Small, quaint, unfussy, and charming little joint that offers a menu with plenty of choices, reasonable prices, and big-enough portions. The service is quick and friendly with plenty of smiley faces. This is a diner that knows its purpose and knows how to keep things simple and, most importantly, how to create repeat customers."

"Went here for the first time today cause was kind of far from our regular Saturday early afternoon diner and in the neighborhood. Seated ourselves per the sign The waitress never told us her name and was pretty short and had a rather negative vibe like she didn’t want to be there Her attitude kind of ruined the experience My husband ordered some hasbrowns and when he got them they were luke warm, which he mostly loves diners cause breakfast fare is usually piping hot when it arrives. I tasted his potatoes and they were pretty cold. When the waitress asked how everything was he mentioned that the potatoes were not hot and instead of apologizing and offering a solution, she said she saw them come off the grill and they were…..very combative unnecessarily in my view. Was proud of my husband for not immediately wanting to walk out after that as he’s much less tolerant of poor customer service Was hard not to compare this lady to the excellent staff at our regular diner (Bedford Diner on Laskey) cause this sort of thing would never have happened there and we figured we are just used to friendly, decent staff so won’t be going back to Monroe and will drive longer if we have to in order to go to Bedford 🤷🏽‍♀️ Food overall for me was decent. Country fried steak especially was one of the best I’ve had in Toledo and the gravy was tasty. Also loved the biscuit as well. Neither eggs nor hash browns were seasoned but I appreciate that cause sometimes restaurants do too much with salt. Would advise the owners to train up the servers to be more friendly. Not sure if maybe she had a bad day but it was kind of cringe as the kids say - in atmosphere due to the waitress. Husband tried to get her attention for a coffee refill by lifting the mug and she ignored him. Another woman came who actually was friendly and filled it for him. Was sad she wasn’t our waitress."
