"I hate to do this, it brings me no joy. Actually. I initially left a five-star review on all accounts. Went to get dinner last night, they weren't very busy, they had a couple big tables. We sat down for 15 minutes, nobody took our order. Mind you we were starving. I finally broke down and called a waitress over and just asked her to take her order. She apologized for the wait. Another 15 minutes past, I was in view of the food window. I saw mine and my husband's food come up. It sat there for 10 minutes, I was staring at it starving. I then had to ask another waitress to go check and see if that was my food. It was my food. When it got to us. The cheese on top of our Philly burger was cold, and they forgot to put onion rings instead of fries from my sandwich. So I told her there were no onion rings, she tried to take my food back but I refused. I think they were mad because I didn't let her take my plate. Someone finally brought us our ticket, we put the card in within a minute of getting it, but it felt like they were intentionally ignoring us. We scraped up enough cash to cover the food and left. Food was good but we will not be back."

"A Good little Place. Converted from a church. Went there on a Thursday and wasn’t too busy. Got really Quick service all together from start to finish. Ordered Half buffalo and half lemon pepper wings. They were great. They were Grilled. The lemon pepper wings were amazing! Definitely a cute place and definitely worth a visit!"

"Food looks good but tastes bland. Atmosphere and service are top notch. Didn't try drinks. I ordered cheese curds and Philly cheese steak egg rolls. Cheese curds were more like chopped up string cheese sticks and didn’t come with dipping sauce. Philly cheese steak meat tasted unseasoned. Christmas decorations are gorgeous! Our waitress was attentive and kind."

"This place is cool. Lotta folks miss it because it's a block off main in the Rose District. The gourmet dogs are great. Service is always excellent. Nice bar."

"Two hour dinner that left a member of the party sick... This was my second and last time to Shaky Jake's. I have never had a wait staff so non-existent, so fast on the blame shifting including blaming me for the order not being correct. When we noticed the second table get up and leave after waiting for service, we should have left too... molasses is the best way to describe the speed of service. I should not have to say this, but it is never okay for a restaurant to cover your dinner in gravy, when nothing says in the description that it is served with gravy. Since it was my son's meal, I sent it back and waited for his meal to get corrected before I started eating my burger. By the time his meal came back, most at our table was done. As you can see in the picture, I ate about a third of my burger when I noticed missing ingredients. I alerted the wait staff as soon as I could find one. We eventually get our checks, and tried to pay. About 25 minutes later I had to go track the wait staff down and ask for our check and cards back. This is when the waitress told me next time not to wait so long if the food is wrong. She said her manager said it was my fault for not speaking up sooner... mind you I have never had the burger before, and had to find an employee to look at it and confirm the order was wrong. We were told at first it was one of the cooks moving to fast and not paying attention, later it became my fault. I told her I am not trying to argue, I just want my card and check so we can go. Literally as I signed the check, she is constantly telling me its my fault for waiting so long. And next time to let them know immediately when I realize the order is wrong. Let me be very clear, there will not be a next time."
